Yup. Basically whichever plays anywhere in the world and who is not on payroll of Manchester United has rejected us if we are to believe twitter and media.
I read the Muller comments on Eurosport - it wasn't the full transcript but the headline said:
"REUS AND MULLER REJECTED ASTRONOMICAL OFFER FROM UTD"...the Reus 1 refers to what the Atletico chief said but in Mullers comments - he doesn't even mention United? Media sure are loving our downfall

We are in the final stages of bid preparations for at least three players. You heard it here first.

A formal offer is a very late part of negotiations, it means nothing.

We are in the late part of the window. 2 weeks to go and people actually believe we are going to pull Vidal/Di Maria out the bag. It aint going to happen.

Van Gaal admitted he wanted a defender and we got one. We got a left back, central midfielder and a center half, it's been a good Summer.
It hasn't really. Our squad is still extremely weak.

And the result of all this great news was losing against Swansea at OT. Now that's progress.

No. Relative to what we needed to do to ensure Top 4, this is a very poor summer. Compared to previous summers, its fantastic.

Not sure about that mate when you consider the players who have left. We replaced Vidic, Rio and Evra with Shaw and Rojo and added a midfielder, it's debatable if the squad is much better than last year imo.

David May, Super Star, knows about y'all and your crazy rumour mongering!

They can if Doyen breached the contract by telling Rojo to go on strike. It all depends on what the terms of the contract were.

They are Rojo advisors, they can tell him to go on strike. Furthermore the strike didn't caused any prejudice to Sporting, and was caused by the breach of an oral agreement, which can be used against Sporting.
But we will see.

It is but you didn't paint the complete picture. One of those signings, Shaw, is out injured along with several other key players from a team that had a great pre-season.

We shouldn't take heart from the Swansea result but we shouldn't lose it either.

Real progress of course would be adding Di Maria and Vidal to go along with Ander (not son), Shaw and Rojo.

Why the feck not? What are we waiting for?

This is the same Sky Sports that days back claimed Benatia was flying to Manchester to conclude a deal and since then haven't mentioned it again. They haven't got a clue what's going on. Just like numerous journalists said "Rojo training, no deal today!" "Understand the deal is complicated" before an hour later the deal is announced.

It's tough to not get caught up in the hysteria of the transfer market but I really wouldn't panic when people come out with stuff such as that tweet.

Laughing to myself at the idea of a random ex-player who popped onto MUTV being a reliable source of transfer news. Perhaps we should call up Keiran Richardson and see if he's heard any news.

In all honesty, though, while I would love another signing, you can't go expecting us to sign 4-5 first team players after sacking the manager last season. Either you incorrectly sacked your manager for failling to reach top four or you correctly sacked your manager because the players WERE capable of top four. So, which is it?

good summer as you being serious!?

Thats only a good summer when you have an outstanding team at your disposal so you add a few more quality players to strengthen the overall squad.
What is not good is off the back of a shocker of a season where our manager and players failed miserably we go an buy one left back (who has just turned 19 and a really great prospect for the future) to replace last seasons two left backs.
We buy Rojo who by the looks of things was Van Gaals third choice, he is to replace the experience of Rio and Vidic.
We buy Herrera which is a very good buy but when our midfield is so woefully short in quality that's like sticking a plaster on a bullet wound. The fact our only other decent midfielder is out for three months proves it really isn't a good summer.

Look at Saturday we started with the best available midfield and two of our three starting CBs. We lost at home to Swansea. Says it all really.

Oh right, so Redcafe now counts as ITK now does it?

We've always been in the know. As in, we know nothing, just like everyone else on Twitter/TV/Newspaper/The street corner.

Of course I didn't paint the whole picture. The manager is still experimenting, we have injuries and of course we have lost our three regular defenders.

However, we are mundanely average behind Mata and that is a real issue that we seem to be inept at sorting.

That's besides the point.

The actual formal bid usually comes within a day of the signing going through. Negotiations go on for weeks, sometimes months between player, agent and selling/buying clubs before it reaches a point where a formal bid is tabled and it's usually accepted or at least close to the figure the selling club would like as the previous negotiations would give both clubs an idea of what to expect.

So the fact we haven't tabled any other bids yet is no surprise whatsoever. That doesn't mean we're not locked in discussion with any number of players.

I think our squad is a whole lot worse. Nani and Felliani (love or hate them) were both played on Sat, so were deemed useful to the squad - one gone the other injured. Carrick also injured and probably isn't going to come back to full force until November and even then he is more solid than game changer.

Lets be honest, if 3 months ago you were told that these were the players we would have signed with 12 days to go - we all would have been worried.

Serious work still needs to be done and I just can't see us pulling it off - I really hope I am wrong...

Again, who told him we've made no more formal offers? The clubs media office?
It's plain to see all the leaks and sources within the club have either dried up or not willing to speak. Plus it's not like United are going to come out and say "Oh yes, we've got 4 offers on 4 players at the moment". Could you imagine if they said that and we got none of them? It would cause mass meltdown with most United fans, more so than we've seen at the moment!

United are going to deny everything and i'm betting clubs who's players we're going for have been told to tell no one either. Basically only those who need to know whats going on, know. The best policy is what we're doing now. Deny everything, therefor, if nothing comes off, it was all speculation anyway. Tell no one our plans, much easier to save face if nothing happens.
