I posted a summary in the Manchester United Transfer rumours thread. It was pretty shit to be honest. No news.Did anyone here watch United in the Press? I missed it, what did they say?
Ferguson is full of praise for him in his book.Explains why he is still here. Him and Fergy must have been great buddies.
I was bored enough to watch it.Did anyone here watch United in the Press? I missed it, what did they say?
Asking a 70 year old to drop a bucket of icy water over his head ... : /
Thats a bad idea .... right?
strange, you called him a pretentious twat the other dayI'm speaking with my conspiracy theory hat on, but I get the feeling that de Brún isn't liked here is because he's had a pop at the Caf' a few times on his Twitter account (something about being banned).
I've followed him a long while now and I have to say that I think he's a genuine guy who, admittedly, gets too emotionally involved in some United topics. He has solid contacts, however, and many (like a favourite son of the Caf', Daniel Taylor) vouch for him.
As you said, too, can't see the issue with de Brún when tossers like Jackson and Castles, two known anti-United journalists who regular paint us in bad light, are lapped up here.

That's neither here nor there when they've all been equally wank when match day comes round.Have you ever wondered why three successive managers have felt the same way about Nani and yet Young and Valencia remain?
feck all really.
-Norcroft said Vidal wasn't the player we needed because he didn't impress him at the world cup. He then went on to showcase his expertise further by educating us all on Vidal being a number 10 and United not needing a number 10. McDonnell agreed. Mitten didn't address that point.
- Mitten said that Vidal wanted to move and Juve wanted to sell. Mcdonnel said that United weren't interested (officially) and that it was Juve trying to create a market for him.
- McDonnel said he didn't think Vidal would sign. United categorically denied it.
- Asked about Di Maria, Mitten said Perez wanted to sell and that United could get Di Maria but it would be very expensive. He said it'd be a tough deal to do but he was a fantastic player. That was it.
- Mitten said they asked Perez about selling Di Maria to Man Utd earlier in the summer and he just shrugged and walked off.
- Other two said we needed a marquee signing but that we really need a deep lying midfielder.
Must have been 30 minutes of some real hard negotiationsSo he posts this then 30 minutes later the deal is confirmed.....goes to show he knows feck all.

Also, it's even more of a kick in the mouth to see the other two stinking up the place week after week whilst he can't get a kick when he's the most talented of the three.
From Nani's POV, getting a guaranteed season's worth of games and being treated like a hero makes sense, but from ours, surely Nani is a better option to have than not, considering our alternatives.
And yet three different managers have decided Young and Valencia more worthy of staying and playing. It's not a coincidence. They haven't all taken an irrational dislike to him. That's a discussion best had in the Nani thread though. That's neither here nor there when they've all been equally wank when match day comes round.

Oh Valencia definitely has his uses for us, no question at all, it's just that so would Nani - he is a potential match-winner, after all - and to then use him as a make weight for a non-marquee player, whilst paying all of his wages (if true) just seems like a bizarre thing to do.IMO we missed Valencia on Saturday. He's got a great engine, tons of pace, great work ethic, is solid defensively. Most of the attributes you need for a right wing back. His end product isn't great, that's been his problem for the last two years. But he's not playing as a winger anymore, so it's somewhat mitigated. Somewhat. He hugs the touchline too and can stretch their back line with his pacey runs in behind the full back. Lingard and Januzaj cut in so much, when we needed to stretch the field. Especially important when you consider Young was cutting back in on the other side every single time he got the ball.
But 50M for him wouldn't be paying over the odds IMO.

doesn't appear to be on flightradar. No private jets from lisbon on the flightpath to manchester
Nani would be a decent asset for a 4-3-3 though. If ya need a goal, he COULD come up with something to win ya the game.Nani has less uses in our new formation though. I think that saved Young and Valencia's asses for the time being.

We reverted to a different system pretty much straight away when we were in trouble on Saturday. I don't think that'll be a one-off, so then someone like Nani would be very handy to provide that extra tactical option.Nani has less uses in our new formation though. It sounds odd, but in 2 years time, I only see De Gea, Shaw and Wayne Rooney as players in the current side who will almost certainly still be in the first team.I think Nani had to go to make the Rojo deal happen. I very much think the other wide players are living on borrowed time. In a couple of years, the first eleven might be very different.
Could be flying to London, pretty sure Herrera did before travelling to Manchester the next day?doesn't appear to be on flightradar. No private jets from lisbon on the flightpath to manchester
So Ando's video probably generating more interest than the Rojo signing at the moment. Underwhelming signing or are we just jaded with the transfer window?

I'd go with the latter. It's been a frustrating window for sure.So Ando's video probably generating more interest than the Rojo signing at the moment. Underwhelming signing or are we just jaded with the transfer window?
Certainly seems to be the case. It's one hell of a sweetener if the details are true.I think Nani had to go to make the Rojo deal happen. I very much think the other wide players are living on borrowed time. In a couple of years, the first eleven might be very different.
