Yes, and by 'knowing our luck, we'll end up with Khedira', I definitely meant that we'd end up with Khedira and Iniesta.
Also, it would be. He's truly awful, and horribly overrated simply by virtue of being at Madrid.
Exactly the type of thing that was said about Fletcher for years, plus he wasn't a regular in an excellent international team. If Fletcher was able to establish himself as a mainstay in our team then Khedira would too (especially as our midfield is much weaker now than it was when Fletcher was at his peak).
Nothing to do with a transfer, unless Monaco want their money back or something.

If only we didn't fanny around with low bids and went straight in with the 35m, this would have been done and dusted long ago. We have a history of trying to take the piss with low bids and being scroungers.

We should have offered well in excess of £40m if we wanted to sign him for a lot of money.
Still though, 25 million is laughable for a player like Fabregas, who's probably worth over 40 million in today's market, especially if people here value Bale at 60 (which is ridiculous in my opinion).

A manager at Barca isn't quite the same. He will make the footballing decisions, but the policy decisions lie with the control freaks.
If this is true then Barca will blame the player, the Spanish media will create a devil out of him and then we know he is leaving. Same old pish.
Surely whether or not Fabregas will be a first choice player falls under the category of footballing decisions though? Who knows, the structure at these Spanish clubs is mental.
