The manager has confirmed Chris Smalling will be out for about 10 weeks after an operation on his metatarsal.

It's such a pity he's been out injured for so long over the past year and the half or so. Every time he gets back from injury, something happens.

I think he was referring to people talking the other kinda shit as oppsed to what the topics for?...who's a better finisher etc has absolutely no reason to be here and everytime it's bumped people are reading about something that's really not what the topics for...(even if twitter sucks donkey dick)..

Precisely

Plenty of bitching on there now over Sir Alex's comments on the Glazers in the Sunday papers - shameful stuff to read from United fans.

Completely agree, but he's due a lot more respect than this crap.

From what I've seen there are a fair few muppets speaking shite just now, but I have to disagree with him on the Glazer issue. I mentioned in the thread created that I'd prefer him to keep quiet on the issue, as regardless of what he says he knows they're ownership has been a bad thing for the club. He can't publicly say anything, but he doesn't need to defend them so publicly especially on a subject which is so dividing.

Agente Lucas Moura: "El acuerdo entre equipos es total. El Sao Paulo recibio la oferta de £26 millones del Man Utd y estan de acuerdo."

via Google tranlator:

"The agreement between teams is complete. The Sao Paulo received the offer of £ 26 million from Man Utd and agree."

Not sure if that's a legit twitter account or not

Smells like BS.

Yes. All it's other stories seem to be newspaper links, yet in this case no links to quotes.

Why would his club do a deal before the Olympics anyway when chances are his value will rise.

Seems like rubbish but here are the other tweets translated by that same account.

Agente Lucas Moura: "Now we are awaiting a meeting with Utd to define the contract of Lucas and help reach an agreement."

Agente Lucas Moura: "We will seek to agree the salary and that Lucas has information about the first team since they do not want this in the reserves."

^^

I'm assuming that is on about playing time in the first team.

Agente Lucas Moura: "We had offers from other teams like Madrid, Chelsea etc but Lucas just wanted to go to Manchester United."

They are in a hurry, because once it hits August, their cut goes down.

If he does really want to come to us I expect Anderson, Rafa and Fab have a lot to do with that both in terms of singing praise on the club and Ferguson and also the chance to join them at the club.

It'd do well on all parts to help them all settle at the club for the future.

He gains 10% more of his economic rights come the first of August, meaning he would then own 30% and Sao Paulo 70%. Also Lucas didn't start the friendly against Team GB so there's certainly no guarantee he'll start in the olympics. Therefore they'd be running the risk of getting less money even if he did have a good olympics.

He's obviously made-up those names - it's still on  :wenger:

Jon Cotterill (commentator for Globo) is quoting a Brasilian radio station btw.

Then they've made-up those names :p

Technically, if they are saying that he hasn't been sold then they could mean that the deal hasn't been completed, signed and sealed, etc., but a deal could've been agreed between the clubs, which I think is what the Mirror has said. :nervous:

Mostly likely though they're just shooting down the latest piece of tabloid tosh.

the suspense isn't killing me this year, it is much more relaxed in comparison to last year. anone feel the same?

Yeah, it's isn't hitting Benzema or Oezil (my personal muppet dream signing) levels. Even the Sneijder thing had the occasion moment of "wow, we're going to sign an actual world class player". Maybe I've developed a protective mechanism or something.

That said, signing Lucas would restore a lot of that muppetry - despite only seeing him play for a few minutes on Friday in a friendly

The Hazard thread went a bit nuts, but overall I'm not that bothered. If we sign anyone it will be a nice surprise. I just don't see us spending some of these figures that have been quoted in the press.
