The manager has confirmed Chris Smalling will be out for about 10 weeks after an operation on his metatarsal.

No he's never played for us I think.

I mentioned in the thread created that I'd prefer him to keep quiet on the issue, as regardless of what he says he knows they're ownership has been a bad thing for the club. He can't publicly say anything, but he doesn't need to defend them so publicly especially on a subject which is so dividing.

Also Lucas didn't start the friendly against Team GB so there's certainly no guarantee he'll start in the olympics.
