Apparently, Qatar Investment Authority (ruling family worth £40bn) have bought a controlloing state in Spurs!

Brilliant news (well, groundless speculation) - any rich Saudis fancy buying Everton? Syrians to buy West Brom? Kuwaitis and Norwich? The more billionaires in the league the better, much more exciting

We're singing Juao

According some sources,#MUFC have agreed fee to sign Moutinho from FC Porto and Nani could sign 4 years contract extension.#MUFC

I hope the bit in bold is true. That would be great news.

Nani is in Singapore now for some reason

Moutinho deal is agreed and Nani signs new deal??

Please be true for both :drool:

With Park and Pogba gone, and Fletcher nowhere near coming back a Midfield signing is inevitable.

We still got Rafael to play in midfield, aswell as a few promising youngsters coming through! Dont forget about Petrucci! Scholes can surely play a few more seasons until the likes of Dæhli are ready to take the step up.

We are at least 1 man short in midfield - we only have Carrick which is 100% reliable. Scholes is almost 38 - and yes he was brilliant last season but then he played half a season - there is no guarantee he will do as well over a full season. Anderson and Cleverley have a horrible history when it comes to injuries and Fletcher might not even come back.

I wasnt exactly serious ;)

@DuncanCastles: Manchester United have bid rejected for Moussa Dembele. Fulham will sell if money is right. #mufc #ffc http://t.co/xFiUhVsT

Why would we need him? I don't watch fulham much but I'm pretty sure he is a second striker or attacking midfield who can also play more defensively. I would hope that we're after a much higher class of player than him.

We had a discussion in the Dembele thread in the transfer thread and we established that he can play in central midfield because that is where he played for Fulham in the 2nd half of the season.

IF we are actually looking to sign both Moutinho and Dembele (a pretty big "if") to join Kagawa, it must be because we're losing Park, Anderson and possibly Fletcher.

Those 3 signings would certainly placate the baying mob.

Maybe fergie thinks he can fill in on the wing in the case of injuries
