Bob Cass ‏@Bob_Cass Day off from football. But fancy Fergie to do some business this week. He's keeping his cards close to his chest.

Hope Bob is right. If so, likely to be Banies, but could be Moutinho

I can see us completing our business this week.

Fergie will then make his famous speech of "i'm happy with the squad and there will be no more signings".....

@PeterBolton3: Met Jon Woods (Everton FC Director) earlier. Asked him about Leighton Baines. He said "#mufc have NOT made enquiry, offer or bid for him"

@Samih075 someone I trust at MUFC tells me there's nothing in the Moutinho story, people at Porto briefing something very different though

Porto leaking false stories to bump a players valuation... nooOOo

:( No value in the market.

I think we'll sign Dembelelelele. It's the sort of deal Fergie has done in the past. Would be a decent addition to the squad and certainly better and more reliable than our current back up in midfield.

As for Moutinio, I would like to see the lad here. Good foil for Carrick and around 20-25m seems about right.

Baines? Not sure.

I think Dembele is our most likely CM purchase. Premier league player who will cost half as much as Modric.

Maybe the thinking is that he's similar to Anderson and therefore will cover him if Anderson gets injured yet again. And he's good enough to displace him too

By the way, Dembele averaged 3.1 tackles per game last season.

Thats more than any of our players except Rafael at 4.1

Carrick was 3.0

Dembele also had 2.2 dribbles per game. Beats our top, Nani at 1.8

key passes 1.4 per game, just about beats our best from a CM in 1.3 from Anderson

0.1 through balls per game, exactly the same as all of our CMs

Really the one area he is worse than our midfielders is he lost the ball more often. But that goes back to him being more of a dribbler last season than any of our players. Way more than any of our CMs

After the Sneijder debacle last season of Course SAF's keeping his cards close to his chest - especially as far as Bob Cass is concerned! lol

Being a midfielder in a Fulham side is very different from being a midfielder in a United side, why you can't compare stats like that, when the scenarios and roles the players have to play are completely different due to the two club's completely different stature and style.

We are not buying anyone else are we.

I actually think we will - but not a central-midfielder.

Have the Dembele to Chelsea rumours completely died? They seemed to be building a few weeks back.

Still can't believe we're not being linked to Martinez even by the tabloid hacks :(

I would love this if true. Dembele looks class and can only get better as he continues to play more in midfield. He's not the superstar signing a lot of fans want, but he would fit far better in our team than someone like Modric or even Moutinho.

Sign him up Fergie!

Its different but its not easier. In many ways you could argue its harder in a team that will have less of the ball

These kind of crap stats tell you little or nothing. Man Utd have the ball most of the time hence there is less opportunity to tackle and win the ball back. Fulham have less possession in practically all games, they're so poor away from home that every player spends 90% of the time defending.

Dembele made the most tackles of all Fulham players

For every person on twitter who claims something is happening, theres another person to say its not. Neither being believable.

 The Press Association keep saying that the Times is wrong, with Moutinho and Dembele.

Nobody knows Uniteds plans. Don't believe any journos, never mind twitter pundit, who says they are ITK.

The Press Association seem to be getting a bit more active with transfer speculation recently then past seasons aren't they?

Axel Witsel perhaps. I don't think we'll let the window pass without signing a midfielder. We attempted to do so last summer, this summer we're already letting Park go and Fletcher is a huge doubt.

RT @Cynegeticus Ganso won't play for #Santos again, as Delcir Sonda (Sonda owns 55% of Ganso's economic rights) just confirmed to 'Rádio Estadão ESPN'.
