Darren Can linking Ganso with Spurs - though not with any great insight it seems:

Crikey. Ganso's off. [ via @Cynegeticus ] - another for ambitious Spurs?

So, who wants to guess the date when Fergie will say "there's no value in the market"?

Or, when Gill will say Fergie's happy with the squad and that the debt has nothing to do with spending?

:nervous:

1 day after our first pre season game (thursday)

I don't think it's always about the purse strings. If it was all about money, would the Jones and Young signings have been "approved"? Surely not because as talented as both are, they weren't "urgent" - like a CM signing was/is. If we add Kagawa into the mix, that's +-50M on 3 players, so if SAF honestly thought that there was an attainable CM out there for us, surely we would have signed them by now?

FWIW, why we haven't yet signed a top class CM is a mystery to me as well - but last season was semi-understandable. Who could foresee Cleverely, Fletcher and Anderson all being out for the majority of the season?

I'd say Anderson's injury record put him under a big question mark. Fletcher, we didn't know what he had last summer but the club did. Cleverley, while I know some people were a little worried over his injury record at Wigan, I'll let this one slide. Mind you, we also lost Scholes then.

Still, I'll accept last season. I won't accept betting on the same players all magically being OK now, though. Five years since we bought a midfield player.

On Moutinho: assured by several people I believe ‪#mufc‬ bid real. Others, such as the well-connected @DuncanCastles, disagree...

Seen that @MiguelDelaney is on the side of the Moutinho interest being very real.

Not sure how reliable this bloke is...

Understand that Manchester United are now very close to sealing a deal with Everton's Leighton Baines. #MUFC #EFC

Twitter rumours that he's signed a 4 year deal on a 18m fee. God I hope this isn't true.

Broke the Park to QPR story, that guy. Maybe he's correct.

Oh and I seriously doubt the 18m figure, it's most probably bollocks.

We love signing players for around £16-£18m

IF true, I would guess a structure similar to Kagawa deal is in place (£12m or so up front, rest on appearances/success).

Bateman is a former sky sports reporter. So I guess he will have some contacts.

If we did sign Baines, then maybe we see Fabio's future as a midfield option? Or it could all be bs, seeing as it's twitter an all

£18m, i sincerely hope this is not true.

Why do we pay over the odds for english talent and then walk away from world class players complaining they are over priced or we can't afford the wages..

Firstly, I saw saw where this rumour started so I believe it might be fake, however I wouldn't be surprised if it did happen. If it is true though, surley the £18m must be performance based? Man Utd do most deals like that, i.e Carrick, Young, Jones etc.

Thia argument has been raised millions of times - Young was cheap as contract running down, Jones is very young.

If we don't buy at least one Central midfield player its obvious we're skint.

especially if we sell Park, a player who'd be happy to retire here

Whats with the Baines-hate? He seems decent enough, and Evra desperatly need the competition. We got Fabio coming through, so signing some talent on left back seems, and this way we can have another good left back who already knows some of our defenders from the national team.

It's not Baines... it's the 18m, I think that most find it to be too much for him.

Just sign Baines ffs, it's not like anyone's really excited about it. Then let's get back to the important stuff, CM.

I don't care how much Baines costs as long as we sign a genuine world class CM.

Signing a genuine CM (no vague "is he a striker or an attacking midfielder or he can do a job in midfield as well" like Powell for example)? Dream on.

Business done.

BREAKING: Roberto Mancini is into 3/1 from 20s to be the next Prem League manager to leave his job amidst rumours of him heading to Russia

I'd piss myself if he fecked off.

Can't find the tweet again but someone has mentioned that Oscar is off to Spurs and Ganso is off to Internacional

I'd piss myself if he fecked off.

Gab Marcotti spoke about this on ESPN Press Pass - seems a very shadowy matter where a contract with Mancini was found by the Russian FA signed in a safe, which runs past the 2018 World Cup (in Russia) but the guy who signed it on behalf of the Russian FA has been sacked and is refusing to shed any light on this. But apparently the contract does exist (and has been seen by Russian government ministers) but nobody seems to know anything about it
