#MUFC contract news imminent to brighten your Monday. Don't go anywhere...

Rafael has signed a new 4 year deal with #MUFC. SAF: "Rafael is one of the club's brightest young prospects. He's developed immensely"

We've signed Eamon Holmes to front MUTV's coverage of the pre-season games. Well, his tits are bigger than Mandy's, at least.

Why on earth are we wasting money on Eamon Holmes when we STILL haven't bought a central-midfielder?:mad:

white text - just to be sure

ManUtdStuff
Galatasaray president on Berba: "The Bulgarian is a great forward. I want him to join us but, of course, the coach has the final word."

Any news on Pogba?
Hasn't his contract expired now? Is he a free agent?

His contract ran out on 1st July, so yep he's a free agent and allowed to do what he wants now. Apparently he will sign for Juve this week but United still want compensation.

Guess we will find out what the deal is with Pogba pretty soon on MUTV.

‏@nickcoppack - You can watch Sir Alex talking about players (including Berbatov, Pogba, Fryers, Fletcher) on MUTV tonight at 18:30 BST.

Most likely will be confirming that he's leaving. If he wasn't leaving it would have been sorted and announced on the official site/by the club way before now. We know what is happening with Berbatov thanks to the piece on the website. I am interested in hearing about Fryers and Fletcher though.

Here it is. Confirmation:

Sir Alex to MUTV: “Paul Pogba signed for Juventus a long time ago as far as we’re aware. I don’t think he showed us any respect at all "

And on Fryers:

Sir Alex has yet to hear from Zeki Fryers or his agent

Pogba officially a cnut.

Fryers is no loss.

Gutted that he's such a twat. And a strange move for him. Though I think he'll develop into a very tasty player, I hope he becomes a pre-mature burnout as I'm vindictive like that:devil:

But given that photo-update on Fletch and the official news now that Pogba's left, getting a midfielder becomes a self-evident necessity even to the most stubborn Reds

The three youth players that made the biggest strides towards the first team last year are now gone. Lets hope this is just a one off.

Theres no telling what Sir Alex will do especially with midfield. For all we know he sees Powell as that cover

Pogba is a tall, rangy central midfielder, signed from Le Havre at the age of 16. "We're quite positive about him," Ferguson said. "If we hold Paul Pogba back, what's going to happen? He's going to leave in a couple of years' time when his contract is finished. We have to give him opportunities to see how he can do in the first team. He's got the ability, the physique and the athleticism."

Well whaddya know...

To think These 3 were closest to the first team and considered most likely to make it.:annoyed:

Anyways Fryers won't make it big in the PL ever.

And just look how brightly Ravel has shone since leaving........oh wait.

All three cases are similar actually, if you demand more than you are worth at an age where you still have it all to prove, whilst simultaneously allowing yourself to be manipulated by cash-hungry vultures, then your at the wrong club to try and attempt to hold to ransom. Bigger and better players have left and gone on to regret it.

I would be happy if Zeki Fryers stays with us but it's hardly worth crying about if he does go, as he isn't even the most talented left back in the reserves, let alone the club. He is currently the oldest, most physically developed and most tactically aware however, but not the biggest talent at LB. I actually think it would probably be best for his career if he did move on for regular first team football like Norwood has, as I cant see him ever making it to a nail-down first a team place here.

Pogba will be a shame but it will hardly be a loss. I would rather see him leave now and us blood another young talent, than wait after two years when just as he starts maturating into a world class midfielder he then decides his future lies elsewhere and were forced to separate with him just before his peak. He can now carry on his path and we can continue on ours without his saga(money issues) becoming a distraction.

Not to mention there a more than a few huge talents currently at the club in the academy and reserves. Some will go the way of Welbeck and Cleverley and others will end up like Pogba. In my opinion if one or two more make it to the first team then thats enough to keep me excited about out youth development in the future anyway.
