Trump/Russia/SDNY investigation

Rumour mill says Jared is next on the Mueller train and he's boarding soon. #Popcorn

Yep lots of noise about this. I would pay big bucks to see footage of him dragged out of his own home, cuffed, in a pre dawn raid as Ivanka watches on from behind twitching net curtains. Oh yeh.

Hopefully Trump Jnr won't be far behind him

I'm also enjoying that Ivanka is now being referred to as Kremlin Barbie. :D

If Mueller is going after Kushner next, I think he's pretty far advanced in the investigation. The potential for blow back is huge with the President's mistress' husband. I think Trump is far more likely to fire Mueller than test Kushner's loyalty.

He'd have to fire Rosenstein too and the carnage wouldn't stop there. But yeh Kushner looks the type to flip the minute they come for him.

Supposedly multiple indictments and 'GOP congressional leadership involved'. Hopefully this isn't one of those bullshit circle jerks Twitter loves so much.

If true, pretty sure Devin Nunes is one of them.

"Oh no! Not my plastic sex toy!" said both of them.

'President Donald Trump delivered an angry rant on the White House lawn in front of reporters on Friday in which he ranted about both the Department of Justice and the FBI.

When reporters stopped Trump on the White House lawn Friday morning to ask him questions, the president angrily ranted about the FBI in the wake of text messages that revealed an FBI agent who was part of Robert Mueller’s investigation called Trump an “idiot.”

“You have a lot of angry people,” Trump said of the FBI. “It’s a very sad thing to watch, I will tell you that. I am going today on behalf of the FBI, their new building, and when everybody — not me, everybody, the level of anger, and what they have been witnessing with respect to the FBI, it’s certainly very sad.”

The president then fumed about accusations that his campaign colluded with Russian intelligence officials during the 2016 presidential election.

“There’s been no collusion, that has been proven,” the president falsely asserted, as there has not been any definitive proof that Trump’s campaign did not collude with Russia yet. “The Senate and the House, my worst enemies, they walk out and say, ‘There is no collusion but we will continue to look.’ They are spending millions and millions of dollars and there’s absolutely no collusion.”

While Trump had angry words to say about the FBI and members of Congress, he did have warm words for Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“The call with Vladimir Putin, it was great,” Trump said. “He said very nice things about what I have done for the country in terms of the economy, and he said also some negative things in terms elsewhere, but the primary point was to talk about North Korea, because we would love to have his help on North Korea.”

Finally, Trump said that he was still not sure about whether he would issue a pardon for disgraced former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, who recently pled guilty to lying to the FBI.

“I don’t want to talk about pardons for Michael Flynn yet,” he said. “We will see what happens.”'

After all he says about being innocent, he finished with this  That’s basically “I’m going to keep the pardon as a tool. In case I get caught”.

I don't think that Stumpy actually can pardon him?

What does this even mean?? It's not even at the level of a decent word salad. A frightening window into his incoherent thought patterns.

Seems pretty clear things are gonna come to a head very soon.

A lawyer for President Trump's son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner is looking to hire a crisis public relations firm, The Washington Post reported Friday.

The lawyer, Abbe Lowell, has reached out to at least two firms over the past couple of weeks, according to the Post. The firms were asked not to talk about the conversations.

Lowell told the Post in a statement that he is seeking to hire a firm to help represent his high-profile clients, such as Kushner and Sen. Bob Menendez (D-N.J.), whose corruption trial came to an end last month with a hung jury.

But Hilary.

Schiff thinks the GOP are trying to kill the House Investigation by the end of the month. They’ve been refusing subpoenas, claiming they have been unable to arrange interviews with key witnesses... who themselves have said they would be happy to travel to DC at any time and they have no interviews booked beyond the end of this year.

He reckons Trump has been leaning on Ryan to do something and killing the House Investigation and calling it a nothing burger could be used to kill Mueller’s Investigation.

I’m now as good as certain that they have no intention to let any of this play out. If it gets to hot, they’re going to pull the plug. The only hope is then losing the house which is a big ask considering how many seats the Dems have to defend let alone making a net gain.

Yep. Another coordinated effort between Trump, his congressional fan boys, and the Fox News cabal. Get rid of the House investigation first then the Senate, then fire Mueller. Won't work.

The House and Senate Investigations have red flags all over them and have done from the start.

Realistically though, they were never going to let it play out. They're guilty as sin, why would they let themselves get caught?

What makes you so sure it won’t?

What makes you so sure it won’t?

Because Rosenstein won't fire Mueller without a legitimate reason, which he has repeatedly said when asked about it. Therefore Trump would have to get rid of Rosenstein and replace him with an agreeable sycophant OR get rid of Sessions and nominate a new AG, which would require congressional approval, during which whoever is nominated would be asked whether or not he would fire Mueller and wouldn't be approved unless he guaranteed he wouldn't.

The House and Senate investigations are another matter. They could simply finish up at some point without Trump getting his Congressional fan boys like Nunes and Matt Gaetz to obstruct them into submission.

Until then, we will continue to see clowns like this get roasted on national TV by Chris Cuomo.

Thanks. Sounds at least somewhat reassuring.
