Trump/Russia/SDNY investigation

Do you think it's credible? I assume it is based on reviews etc but some of the content is crazy.
It's definitely credible and it's also not a secret. I watched it last night and although shocked and angry nothing really surprised me. It's like 3 years of the Rachel Maddow squeezed in to 2 hours and you can tell there is world class journalism from multiple publications behind it.
Russia is operating as a criminal organization and as soon as the shit in the US gets sorted, along with the EU, there should be an all out non violent assault on these gangsters.
Facebook, Twitter and Google also need to get ther fecking acts together. Clicking on a box to say you are over 14 should not be acceptable anymore.
On the documentary, any Republican that watches this and still doesn't have serious reservations about their party or president is just willfully ignorant and lying to themselves.

Well that doesn't leave Trump with mushroom to manoeuvre!
Everything about this guy disgusts me and now I will never look at a mushroom the same way again. Yeti pubes to tumble weed hair joined by layers of tan in a can. I hope he goes down hard and lives the rest of his days in ridicule.

Watching Active Measures.

So far it's just confirming to me that I'm far too invested in this whole saga because I haven't been told anything I didn't already know. Perhaps that IS Trump Derangement Syndrome because I feel I know more about him and Putin than I do about myself.

I think the worst part is knowing that millions of people have been conned and coerced into voting for him (and in this country, voting for Brexit) and it's all Russia's doing and everybody just laughs it off as 'oh yeah Russia did it, of course' without realising just how effective, measured, controlled and machined this whole operation has been and how long it's been going on for. The vast majority of people don't want to know what's happening and they're so stubborn in believing that 'Russia didn't tell me who to vote for, nobody did' and believing that everybody freely voted without any influence at all without realising it wasn't as simple as a Russian turning up at their house and literally telling them to vote for x candidate or else that it makes it so damn easy for Russia to keep doing what they do and nobody will be bothered to try and counter it.

The way you counter it is by freezing assets and seizing them. Go after Putin's money, upset the oligarchs because they're suddenly losing billions (even if it's all Putin's money really) and Vlad is supposed to sort it out and get Semion Mogilevich asking questions and feeling the pinch. Putin might be the richest man on the planet but he's only there because Mogilevich put him there. He's built on it ever since and become an even bigger monster but Mogilevich could still do something about it if he was forced to I think.

We should've done it with all the money in London coming from dodgy Russian sources but we were took weak after Salisbury (or Litvinenko, etc). Perhaps people in our government and absolutely in the Senate/House in America are afraid of getting the Polonium/Novichok/accidental fall from a balcony/suicide via two bullets to the back of the head treatment hence nothing ever gets done. It's also why keeping Bill Browder safe and securing and enhancing the Magnitsky act is absolutely the most important thing for the next President to do.

Did a little Googling after @matherto 's post above and found this nugget about Trump vs Ohr.
https://www.justsecurity.org/60528/...ohr-russias-top-crime-boss-semion-mogilevich/

---And Ohr is not the only Mogilevich specialist who has been the subject of Trump’s ire. Last September, former FBI lawyer Lisa Page was fired from her position on Mueller’s probe into the Trump-Russia scandal after anti-Trump text messages exchanged between her and Peter Strzok came to light. (Strzok, a member of Mueller’s team with whom Page was having a relationship, was also fired.) However, little attention was paid to what may well be the most interesting item on Page’s resume—her considerable experience prosecuting money laundering cases involving Russian organized crime, including working with the FBI’s task force in Budapest to prosecute a money-laundering case against Dmitry Firtash, the Ukrainian oligarch who partnered with both Paul Manafort and Semion Mogilevich.---

you can measure how close Mueller is getting to Trump by how tough Trump gets with Sessions.

You'll also be able to measure it by who he indicts next. Stone, Kushner and Don Jr. in that progression, would seem the final three before everything shows up at Trump's front door.

What about Nunes? Surely that devious little cnut is embroiled in it all somehow?

I think he will get his when everything is said and done. Provided the Dems take the house, he will be the subject of a thorough investigation and hopefully see jail time.

I hope you're right. Sneaky little shit has to be guilty, especially after coming over to the UK to speak to the intelligence agencies. Hopefully Miller is guilty of things other than being a racist, facist cnut too.

my gut feel is Mueller already has enough on his son and son-in-law. Stone too. But those may be his trump (excuse the pun) cards.

Once he goes after Stone, its the end game.

I suspect Mueller will offer to waive the charges for his son and Kushner....in exchange for Trump giving everything on his dealings with the Russians.....and then resigning.

The intelligence agencies I believe have been heavily involved.

These people are Americans first.

I believe this as well. Mueller is not going to go after Kushner or Don Jr. until the very end since he will want to avoid Trump lose the plot and attempt to fire him again. By that time it will be too late to go back and Trump will have to deal with the repercussions of what Mueller has found out.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, lads.

a sad Christmas for all in reality.

Though the Dems will 'win' in the short term, this country has lost so much.

The tears in the fabric of society will take a long time to heal and it will take people of goodwill who love this country...by that I mean ordinary people together.

I believe we will find them in due course. We have to.

Always snowing here mate

You take care of your brain, my friend. Don't make me come over there and sort you out.

You don't want to know my solution, mate. I hope you guys can work it out.

I agree. My problem is what happens to Trump after he resigns? You know the fecker will not go away quietly -- will monetise his post-presidency too. He is like dog shit -- even if you wipe it away, the stench will always be there.

At that point there will be so much Trump fatigue that both parties will want to move on. The GOP in particular, would have to pick the pieces of a split party that was taken over by Trump sycophants. They will want to move on i would think.

Imo. the only punishment is the dismantling or the closure of the Trump Organisation. That's his identity. Otherwise the slimy bastard would have gotten away scot-free again.
Thats the only way for him to crawl back into a cave.

Sick of hearing the Trump name -- I think 30 years is way too long.

Nothing publicly should happen to Miller. He should end up like Bruce Willis' character in Billy Bathgate.
