Trump/Russia/SDNY investigation

Like the local drug dealer bragging that his boy only got 6 months for 10lbs of weed not realizing that he plead guilty and more than likely spilled the beans on everyone. I get the feeling there is more brains in a trump steak than a trump.

Dodgy Republicans always moan about the cost of investigations.

According to a RAWK member:
Looks like the Whitehouse is preparing to "declassify " (leak) a ton of papers on Bruce Ohr, who Trump despises over the Steele dossier.

Yet another example of the president using his office to pursue a personal vendetta and try to wreck the career of someone who has dared stand up to him.

The GOP is also going to have another crack at undermining the legality of Carter Page's FISA warrant. It's all about proving the pretext for the Russia investigation was dodgy from the start.

Thug acting like thug shocker.

Mueller is a smart man, I seriously wonder how he manages to not just bust all this open as an act of patriotism. Collusion or not, surely no one alive believes he hasn't found irrefutable proof the president is a criminal.

Yeah I don't think there's really any question whether they broke the law in many ways. It's now become a question of whether there are enough voters who care or not. The fact that the bar has gone that low is a win for Trump.

You can tell the game is up by Trump's references to the 'unfairness of people being impeached when they're doing a good job'. That's pretty pathetic.

No news from the Mueller side of the investigation for a couple of weeks now.

It’s looking more and more like he’s decided to delay indictments and announcements on the run up to the elections.

Disappointing if true.

Hopefully he does a Comey and goes for it a few days before the elections.

If this is true, it’s fecking huge.

What’s the benefit to Manafort flipping and avoiding adding more years to serve beyond the grave?

It’s surely a fair assumption that if he’s seeking a plea deal, it’ll be for a shorter sentence or more cushty arrangement during his current sentence?

If that’s what he’s seeking, he’s going to need to have damn good information to exchange.

Manafort was obviously straddling the fence attempting to coax a pardon out of Trump. When one didn't come, he quickly pivoted back to Mueller to try and negotiate his way out of the charges in the upcoming 2nd trial. The question at this point will be whether Mueller has any tangible use for anything Manafort has to say about Trump, and whether Manafort himself is willing to tell all about his campaign experiences.

Yep..... whether he has anything Mueller needs at this stage is open for debate. he is damaged goods. Court hearing tomorrow.

There is rumours he’s pleading guilty to kill the trial and preserve embarrassing documents as he’s expecting a Trump pardon.

There were also reports earlier tonight that Trump and Manafort attorneys are working together to “get all their ducks in a row”.

Could well be looking at obstruction of justice here.

Some of that may be true but if it was then Mueller wouldn't play along with it if he believed there wasn't any good meat on the bone for his own case against Trump.
