Trump/Russia/SDNY investigation

So now Patten is cooperating with the investigation in a deal to cancel other charges.
The house of cards is falling quickly.

Doubt it -- it's a hydra investigation. The more Mueller keeps digging, the more stuff he has to look at. Its a whole web of corruption. Four to eights weeks time, I highly doubt it. More like another year.

An example is the latest guilty fecked, this Sam Patten guy; its not only Ukraine/Manafort but also now the scam that was the Trump Inauguration and the funnelling of illegal contributions and laundering of monies..

Will the end of the Mueller investigation mean the end of all investigations, or could new ones grow from it after?
 
Sam Patten flipped. Highest ever Trump disapproval numbers. I wonder if the best plan is not to just drag out the investigation indefinitely. Drives him crazy; keeps dripping away at his support. While there is WH resistance to him giving an interview, its justified.

New ones will grow out of any new information that develops. Also, if Trump is viewed as obstructing the Russia investigation where Mueller has to issue a partial or incomplete report, then its possible that if the Dems win Congress, they will push for the independent counsel statue to be reinstated and Mueller reappointed - this time out of Trump's reach to where he can't fire him.

Even if he did manage to shut Mueller down the other ones would continue anyway. Plus some of them are state not federal. I don’t see him walking away cleanly from all this.

If the Dems take the house I suspect he will try to cut a deal to implicate anyone that is involved outside his family.

I hope Pense head tumbles.

He shouldn't be even allowed to make a deal given the gravity of what we all think he's done.

He could, and interestingly the 22nd Amendment refers to a person not being able to be elected to the presidency more than twice, so technically it could be possible to retake the office by succession rather than election, although in the highly unlikely scenario where that was ever on the cards he would resign as Speaker.

I don't think Pence will be in any trouble. He seems to have worked out a system of abruptly leaving the room when Trump gets up to no good.

Pence is your typical labotimized Evanglical.
Trump is a common criminal. These people are rarely intelligent. He has the cunning to make sure he is not the last one holding the can.

The report will get to the SC and it is up to the 5 conservative judges to side with a traitor. I don't think the Roberts court will but even if it does, Trump cannot survive 2020. The Dems will run on this and decimate the GOP.

Giuliani is like an headless chicken. I think he feels if they can get ahead of Mueller and dispute everything outside of Russian collusion they can say Mueller overreached his investigation and is therefore illegal.
