Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

Arsenal are bat shit crazy. A disgruntled Sanchez is not going to lead you into a top 4 finish. He will sign a pre-contract somewhere in January and that will be it. Should have taken the money earlier in the summer and invested that elsewhere.

It seems clubs have no real idea how to run themselves professionally. They could have sold him, signed 3-4 quality players by now and improved the squad. No one would really be criticising them. Now it's an absolute shambles.

Or they were waiting for him to renew.

No they are not.

Well that was never going to happen was it? If I can see that surely they can as well. I genuinely think a clued up fan knows more about how clubs should conduct transfers than some of these boards, especially Arsenal.

I do admit they won't find a replacement same quality as Sanchez, but when you have a player who clearly wants out, you swallow your pride and do what's best for your club. The entire Arsenal organization is still butt hurt that RvP moved to United and won the title. That thinking is now coming into the equation here, but they are forgetting that City are here for their annual piece of action.

£160M literally 4 times what he is worth.

No it isn't, not in a market where Leicester want that much for Danny Drinkwater ffs. Stop spouting moronic shite.

And it's Euros, not Pounds.

It's also a shambles that Ozil and Sanchez were allowed to run their deals down to one year. You think that would ever happen to us with Pogba and Lukaku? Or Chelsea with Hazard? Never.

I don't understand those willing to sell Smalling tbh. We still don't know how much time will Rojo take to restore his form and match fitness after that injury. Selling Smalling will be madness atm.

Maybe next season but definitely not this one.
Who cares if we sell Mike to Arsenal because I know Mourinho wouldn't do the deal unless a certain Alexis was apart of the deal.

WHen the players dont sign , what can the clubs do. They dint allow them

£50m for Sanchez is a piss-take given some of the transfers this summer. Sigurdsson went for £45m for christs sake.

Sterling wont be sold by city and why would he approve the move? he was dying to sign for city when he left liv.

Its not like he's going to Wolves. Arse are still a massive club and this would basically be a lateral move for him.

Sigurdsson wasn't 4 months away from signing a pre-contract with another club and leave the following year for free.

That would be an astonishing deal for Arsenal for player who could leave for free in little over 9 months.

Yep. Sterling also has a lot of upside and City have a lot of money so it wouldn't at all surprise me if it happened as Pep is under immense pressure to start delivering some silverware.

Might as well chuck a £75m bid in for Sanchez, same with Lemar. If we're not in for these guys we might as well drive up the price for our biggest rivals.

Not really. He left Liverpool for City because he wanted to win the league. He's not going to be able to do that at Arsenal.

Arsenal will do just fine this year imo (despite their poor start). They may not win the league, but City aren't guaranteed to win it either. I also think Sterling would link up well with Lacazette.

It's frustrating that we're not in for Sanchez. We should be going for a player of his calibre.
