Smalling is a useful defender. We bought one cb for depth we are not selling the best defender aerially in our squad. If even sanchez comes straight money deal with no players in swap would be an ideal deal .

Smalling has outlived his usefulness. No point getting victor if 'Mike' was in his plans. You have jones Bailly rojo victor all ahead of him. even blind as a cover CB axel to come in.

He is a big lad so yes he is decent in the air but he is shocking on the ball and positionally really poor. Leicester have showed interest in him too I believe?

Id rather have Mahrez to be honest

besides this would make this the third time that cnut Sanchez has turned us down.
Udinese, Barca and now Arsenal. feck him

Money talks, pep and city are desperate so they'd offer the money he wants.

If they get Sanchez mahrez is a superb option for us. And we will need one I think.

Great plan. Lets see if it will work in the PL.

It would sure work with the best players in attack, but I think when it comes to relative consistancy to other counter attacking teams possession based teams fall short over 38 games.

You really rate Mahrez that highly? Imo he's alright, and that's about it

Need Mahrez links from more sources. We shouldn't be done in this window we need more.

Sanchez wants out of Arsenal. Maybe he prefers City right now, but if Arsenal chose to sell to us, I am sure he'd come and give his all. That wouldn't really put me off to be honest.

I think we'd hold a strong card. Smalling has long been linked with Arsenal. With the amount of defenders we have right now, I'd try and make a deal.
But hey, thats me

It's about fitting the profile of the player we need for that required balance to play against top teams who are proactive in their approach and he is perfect for it.

Not sure about the character, but I'd take the gamble if the rivals are strengthening.

Are there any reliable sources confirming our interest?

He plays left wing and we already have 2 top class potentials whos best positions are on the same side. Plus the money we offer as salary won't be that high.

We could really use the money in the area we need.

Letting go smalling only weakens our defense and depth.

Rashford isn't a left winger though... And Martial, sure, he's a talent, but he still needs to show it.
What would be the area we need by the way?

As for defenders. We have Bailly, Jones, Lindelof, Rojo, Tuanzebe and even Blind. I don't really see Smalling weakening us that much

Can´t say I blame them.

1. He plays like shit. He laughs on the bench, when his team mates concede goals and get embarrassed on the pitch (not Wenger)
2. He gets treated like a poor innocent victim in the press, while everybody else gets smashed
3. He has the audacity to ask for outrageous wages that even Munich and PSG shy away from, but he soooooo desperately wants to leave to play for a winner

Either you give everything for Arsenal, behave professionally and cash the huge wages on the free transfer next year, or you transfer now and make a financial sacrifice.

Alright. I don't think he's United quality, whatever that means, but what do I know

If you were Spurs you'd quickly realise that paying the £180k weekly salary that Sterling earns would lead to a squad revolt.

His salary is a big reason why Arsenal don't want him in return for a Sanchez in a potential cash + player swap.

Sterling's salary aside, these are the types of signings that Spurs need but they'll probably never get. It's their own undoing really and shows the difference between being winners, title contenders and title pretenders.

Really boring that our transfer window has closed. (I'm actually pleased we've completed most our signings) but isn't Jose looking for that 4th attacker who can play through the wings.

Pool going in for Lemar and maybe VVD, plus Keita for next summer.

City in for Sanchez who is a match winner. Already brought half of Monaco.

Chelsea looking for homegrown English players Ox & Drinkwater.

Spurs purchasing players you would have to google.

Arsenal are a selling club, everyones jumping that ship.
