Slimani they are probably happy to sell, having bought Ihavenachos. Mahrez they know wants out but not sure anyone will pay, and if they get 40m from the rentboys for Drinkwater I would predict they won't be drinking water to celebrate. They could do with a new face or two though.
If Leicester sell all their best players and fail to attract all the players, who dreamt of playing for LCFC growing up, they find themselves in the relegation battle pretty quickly. For them gutting their team means a real threat of relegation.
Losing Mahrez would be a big blow. Not the others. But yeah, they are only one or two major losses away from a relegation battle.
There's more than enough quality in the side to be firm mid-table dwellers. Schmeichel, Maguire, Ndidi, and Vardy is a very stable core. Others like Albrighton, Okazaki etc. will also pull the weight. If aforementioned players end up going again next year, I think you can start pitting them down there.

Are Monaco happy to just gut the squad? Never seen an exodus quite like this, of course they are far better at finding talent/taking risks on the top talent than other clubs but still it's quite strange. Regardless of his age, that's extremely unrealistic. Just take a look at the money they're paying for him and you'll see why they wouldn't allow it.
Their model is basically the same as Porto. They buy talented players with the promise of giving them match time to develop and are scheduled to leave (if the player wants) for a reasonable/good fee, usually after three years. That's how they get those talented players in the first place. If they're not scheduled to leave, then they ask for extra money as compensation. Silva and Bakayoko were scheduled to leave while Mendy and Mbappe weren't so are leaving for record fees.
What can they do short of putting a gun to his head? He's on big wages already now if they refuse to let him go he can refuse to sign a contract.

Been a weird one this one. Some sources seemed sure it was happening then others have completely disregarded it and this tweet getting deleted is just a continuation of that. There's something going on somewhere but all seems a bit mysterious.
