Ronaldo coming in from the left would be just the ticket. Sadly it will never happen.

West Brom losing Fletcher and Evans would be poor business from them, they'll be in the relegation scrap for sure. There was even talk of Chadli moving who improved them last season.

where is this monaco talk coming from with ronaldo?

If I worked for Tesco for 10 years, and sainsbury's came along offering me a massive wage increase, and the ability to work with a load of top notch retail experts. I'd not even flinch while signing for sainsbury's

If city came along and offered you some money to support them now, will you do it? That's a better analogy than your supermarket story.

not really the same though is it.

They aren't asking him to support them. They are asking him to work for them.

Plenty of people turn up to work to earn the cash, and nothing else. City have plenty of experience of mercenaries

That's a shit analogy because Johnny Evans is an ex employee of United, not a United supporter.

My opinion was based on Evans being a boyhood fan who basically grew into the club, won titles and went away when he was told he was surplus to requirement.

If he were to end up at another club, which seems quite implausible, I think that would be PSG
Heh, if he wants to go, PSG is a good destination for us. Prevent them from getting Mbappé. Still, at this point it's late, unless juve can be convinced to sell dybala, he'll have to give us one more season

That doesn't really matter in current football world, though. If Jonny had a chance of going to City he'll definitely take it, because no brainer to play for a top team that can win the league instead of a midtable club no one cares much about. We let him go so why should he refuse to join them ? What you're saying aren't applicable anymore in the current football era.

And that's the reason, too, I think our fans shouldn't be feeling gutted much about seeing him in City shirt if this goes through.

I meant after PSG have concluded the Mbappe deal of course

18 million is kind of a slap in the face for Johnny Evans.
City is offering 50m at almost every defender in the league, why on earth would WBA accept a measly 18 million.

I wonder what those bids were. Given that he is very hard for WBA to replace, I reckon they'd at least want 20m for (despite his age).

Edit: He's actually just 29. They might get 25m for him...

He had better output than everyone bar Zlatan at united, whilst playing for Swansea but sure he's an average signing.

Helps that he was their sole set piece guy, while Zlatan was our main focus, hence him taking the majority of the goals and free kicks.

He has two years left, with the hole it will leave WBA they will want £25m+

His loss. We are looking like and extremely good project that will only get better. Exciting times coming and at this stage of his career, he has the chance to move up.

Think it's down to Inter wanting more than we're willing to pay rather than Perisic choosing to stay.

I just want to know if Perigate is closed or still open? Except if the United's valuation of him is somewhere in the 30 - 40 million range, don't see why we haven't concluded this saga. Smokescreen?

Never imagined that I would have seen Everton spending this number in one summer.
