Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

As I already said, the majority of people on the Cafe reside in the UK. Inter aren't shown on a regular basis here. Neither are Croatia.

I suppose Man Utd fans could be streaming every Inter match for some reason, but it doesn't seem likely.

Problem is having reputed Matic sh*t until two days ago and now thinking you have got Rijkaard. Fans are volatile, deep knowledge or not.

Buy a 29 year old from China for 40m.
Sounds fecking fishy to me. He was sold for 10m.
Transfer market is closed in China and he's apparently Evergrande's best player. Doesn't explain why Barcelona wanted him though but explains why the big fee.

They'd have been better getting Seri in my opinion.

Don't think anyone thought Matic was shit - but even if I wanted him, I ll be the first to admit I have never seen Matic better. At Chelsea he was mostly doing a brilliant but anonymous job. Against West Ham he was all over the pitch with passing and ball-skills I never have seen from him before.

Simeone phoned Costa up and told him to eat couple pizzas a day to lower Chelsea's asking price by 10m. Genius.

this sounds like a dream job to me.
2 pizza's a day.

coincidentally was a documentary on about Robbo last night and Villa had him drinking a Guinness with raw egg in it daily to try to put some weight on him. True commitment to football there.

That's a ridiculous signing for West Ham. He's easily top four level imo.

Easily top 4 level? I agree he's a great signing for West Ham, but which top 4 club would he acutally improve?

If you count Liverpool as a top 4 club, then sure. But with things hopefully normalizing this year, with Liverpool back at 6th-ish, there is no top 4 club he would improve at all imho. Maybe he could do as a back up for Xhaka.

He's showed more for Sporting than any midfielder Arsenal currently have, bar Ramsey's one wonder season.

City have got a B team now in La Liga. We should really follow suit while it is still legal. It will do wonders for their youth, even if they don't make the first team they can be sold off for profit. Its a win-win scenario.

What will happen after the season long loan?
who knows. Reports here in Austria indicate that he'll sign a 5 year contract with City. So probably a series of loans to Girona or somewhere else.

this Kayode deal seems similar to Ruben Sobrino a couple of years ago. Girona want a player but can't afford him, so City buy him for them and loan him. Seems kind of shady to me, but after the Pozzo network, Chelsea/Vitesse and Red Bull Leipzig/Salzburg it's clear that UEFA and friends don't care about that stuff.

This just isn't right. Are they going to buy players for other teams in Spain who are struggling financially. You know, make it fair all round.

Are we linked to him?
No, I don't think so.
Surprised we havent been linked with him, strikes me as a very handy option for the squad.
He's better than Lingard and would add more attacking threat on the right, while also tracking back. I remember Mourinho wanting him a few seasons ago at Chelsea, but there's been no real links with us this summer.

Nothing to do with us losing interest in him, or Inters unrealistic demands.

Of course not, he choose to stay at inter to play no european football and to not play in one of the best leagues in the world, to be paid less than what he would have got here and to let the only chance of his carrer to play for a european giant and one of the best manager in the world and with some of the best players go away.... it has nothing to do with the fact that we lost interest because we wouldn't pay what inter wanted for him, namely, 48M£ or martial on loan. \s
