Still does not add up to me. The CAS ban surely came up during our discussions with Griezmann. It smells of Griezmann trying to leave AM on good terms more than anything. Watch him say things like "I thought long and hard about the move" or "the club gave me their best wishes" or "it was in the best interests of everyone" when he signs for us. In fact, these reactions were probably planned by us, Greizmann and his sponsors/advisors when the CAS verdict was out..if the verdict was different then they would have released different statements to suit the current narrative.

Well he shouldn't have said he doesn't want to think about football now and he left it all to Woodward and the owners. He needs to be involved in convincing players to come over to United. The prep for next season begins NOW. Pep has wasted no time in strengthening his squad and as usual, we'll linger forever until the dying minutes of the window to close to settle all our transfers. Then it'll be the same old story of the player that was brought in isn't performing because of the lack of pre-season. Seems like a vicious cycle that we need to break.
Yep, also we have to remember that CL football was essential to his decision this summer - the same will be the case next summer, only we have no guarantee we're going to get it again. We had to slog our guts out this time, and finished 6th in the league. If we do want AG here, we need SOLID signings this summer to tool up for an assault on the league this seaosn.
