Don't know what to make of Semedo or Lindelof. They look like useful players if you go by YT compilations, however Semedo looks more like an attacking winger who might be found wanting defensively.

It's weird all the Lindelof talk. Record, A Bola, O Jogo all seem sure he will join us very soon but not many English papers has mentioned it. Castles wrote about it in december, we had Sky saying he was one of three we were looking at. Any more papers/news sites reporting it?

Year on year Benfica feed stories to those Portuguese newspapers that we're about to sign one of their players, every year it turns out to be complete bollocks and is just them trying to stir up interest to sell the player elsewhere.

If English journalists do report it, its just them trying to jump in on the story, quoting the Portugese newspapers. But I think even they generally realize there's probably nothing in it.

What I find interesting about the British media is how they always know who we don't want, but never know who we do want. As usual we'll sign players out of the blue and they'll chime in at the last minute pretending to know what's going on.
 
If that's true then fair enough. It's not as if he turned us down, it would mean Jose doesn't think he is what we need.
It would be very telling if both City and United doesn't rate him highly.
