It would probably be easier to maintain a whitelist of decent sources than a blacklist of bullshitters.

So according to google translate, o jogo is reporting that Benfica's president is hoping to sell Nelson Semedo and Lindelöf. We are being named. According to our Portuguese on here, they are the most reliable paper, if I'm not mistaken.

This Italian journalist is saying the same thing.

Benfica president Luís Filipe Vieira is going to Manchester to negotiate the transfers of Lindelöf and Semedo to United.

Benefica are desperate for this to happen!

Don't know what to make of Semedo or Lindelof. They look like useful players if you go by YT compilations, however Semedo looks more like an attacking winger who might be found wanting defensively.

EDIT: Changed some stuff.

It's weird all the Lindelof talk. Record, A Bola, O Jogo all seem sure he will join us very soon but not many English papers has mentioned it. Castles wrote about it in december, we had Sky saying he was one of three we were looking at. Any more papers/news sites reporting it?

only the Portuguese papers so far. But then again, they seem desperate every time

Year on year Benfica feed stories to those Portuguese newspapers that we're about to sign one of their players, every year it turns out to be complete bollocks and is just them trying to stir up interest to sell the player elsewhere.

If English journalists do report it, its just them trying to jump in on the story, quoting the Portugese newspapers. But I think even they generally realize there's probably nothing in it.

Portuguese media linking us to Benefica players is like the boy who cried wolf. No one believes it anymore, they should piss off and use another club for their fake rumours.

MEN know nothing. Pretty sure Di marzio linked us with Fabinho a while ago. When we realise Matic wont be sold and Dier is too expensive, we will go for Fabinho.

What I find interesting about the British media is how they always know who we don't want, but never know who we do want. As usual we'll sign players out of the blue and they'll chime in at the last minute pretending to know what's going on.

If that's true then fair enough. It's not as if he turned us down, it would mean Jose doesn't think he is what we need.
It would be very telling if both City and United doesn't rate him highly.

If Fabinho is third choice behind those two I'd be a little concerned.
