Depends if we're actually after a destroyer. Based on who we've been linked with I think we're after a deep lying playmaker with good positioning moreso than a relentless heavy tackler
Given the news regarding the Africa Nations Cup, I would much rather we have Mahrez than Perisic, especially at the prices being quoted.
I thought we shouldve signed him from Sevilla, and thought PSG got a bargain. PSG would be looking to offload him, so he'd still be a bargain in this market. I know people say managers/scouts know better than us, but sometimes I do wonder how some obvious signings pass by clubs - Krwychowiak's superior to Fellaini in every way, even after 1 bad season.
I don't think there's much chance he'd play centrally here at all other than in emergencies. He'd either play RWB or in a wide attacking role I would think.
Well your attacking players are more like inside forwards than wingers so I'd count them as being central players. Think he'd rotate with Pedro and Fabregas
If they sell Draxler we should be all over that!

I will be massively undehwlemed with matic. If he isn't good enough for Chelsea anymore he isn't good enough for us. Also if that's it for the summer and we miss out on neymar, Sanchez, mpappe, veratti, Fabinho, bale, morata etc then Woodward has failed. Considering he spent the whole football season arranging funds with these organisations as official sponsors he will have failed to deliver in the whole purposes of this sponsorship exercise which was to support the revenues for transfer spendings. Sort it out ed and get the fans excited, throw the money around and be bold.
