Fecking what?! I was expecting £15m or something. Maybe £20m max.

It's straight up mental. I hope it's just a ruse to get a player or two. Still fuming we weren't in for Traore when we knew Chelsea want Llorente. He'd have been perfect for us, but he went for relative peanuts.

Man f*ck this p*ick, I genuinely hope Southampton just sign another CB and let this idiot rot in the reserves for the next 5 years with no football and ruin his career.

Signs a 6 year contract accepting vastly improved wages I would imagine along with it. A year in to that, Liverpool start tapping him up and he tells Southampton he wants to leave and refuses to play.

'Oh, but I still want to be paid in the mean time obviously. Oh, and for the record whilst I want to leave, I won't go anywhere but Liverpool, so kindly accept any bid they put in for me please no matter whether it's anywhere near your valuation of me or not'.

Absolutely no respect for the club who signed him, improved him as a player and allowed him to take a giant step forward in his career in the process.

Tell us how you really feel

Let me get this straight. Liverpool are in talks to sign Robertson, whilst Hull want Stewart. Hull let Liverpool rip them off for Stewart AND still sell Robertson for only £10 million? What kind of negotiating is that?

Robertson is a good signing for Liverpool either way.

Great deal for Liverpool. Robertson isn't proven at a high level but he's got good potential and for £8m it's a no brainer really. As for Hull, well, this pretty much reenforces how poorly that club is run. Expecting a rapid drop down the divisions in next few seasons

Arsenal aren't going to sell Sanchez domestically, and with Neymar there are only two clubs in the world who could realistically sign him due to the financial aspect: PSG and City. City have already spent a fair bit on signing other players and have other priorities (fullback and possibly DM).
If you think we can't financially compete with City and PSG your wrong.

Our revenue is second to none and both Manchester City and PSG would both have to seriously violate FFP to acquire him whilst we wouldn't.

I just don't think Mourinho and Woodward see a move for Neymar as economical sense considering we are in need of players in more than one position (RB cover, Winger and a DM).

We nèed a winger though and two world class ones could be making a move to the same club, that is frustrating to see.

We can't spend £200m on a player and hand him £600k a week on top of already spending over £100m on Lukaku and Lindelof, not to mention we want other players.

So you think we'd have no problem spending £200m on one player added to the up to £600k/week wages he'd demand on top of the other business we've done? All that along with him missing one game each February while he goes galavanting with his sister on her birthday? Our finances aren't limitless.

We could our wage bill has just lost Zlatan and Rooney and our revenue is around the 500 million mark so its possible just doesn't make financial sense when we would need another 2 players in this window alone.

Yes we just lost at least 600k a week off our wage bill with Zlatan and Rooney but we'd have very little for anything else until the next Summer transfer window and we need another 2 players either now, in this window or in January so like I said doesn't make financial sense for us at this time.

So you basically agree with my post that we can't realistically sign him?

600k off Rooney and Ibra. 100k each from Depay, Januzaj and Schneiderlin. And at least 150 off Bastian. Since January, we've taken about a 1m a week off our wages and only added Lukaku and Lindolof. We have at least another 600 per week to add to the wages and should be seriously considering someone like Sanchez. Neymar at 222m at 600,000 a week would be stupid, even for United.

Our yearly revenue was around £515 million.

Lukaku - £75 million + wages
Lindelof - £35 million + wages
Neymar - £196 million + wages

That's £306 million + wages.

So yes we can afford him but we would still need cover at RB and a DM.

I suppose it would depend on whether or not the Galzers will sanction such a high profile move and whether Mourinho could manage with just Neymar as our 3rd and last summer signing.

Huh? Our yearly wages itself is 200 mill+. Even we aren't so rich to just spend 200 mill on one player.

So Barca could spend 100m euro of their 220m windfall on fecking Coutinho?
That leaves 120m euro to fix leaks in their side or just strengthen their depth which isn't really that much.
Thats not a good thing

Surprised that's true Real Madrid have had to put up with much worse with Ronaldo over the years.
Has Ronaldo skipped a game every year to attend his sister's birthday? Neymar has, with the game he skipped this year being one they lost. Had they won that game they would have won the league title.

Don't know why but I am seriously starting to admire the way spurs do their business. Reminds me a lot of us in mid 2000s. I know this could all turn out to be one gigantic waste of time and spurs just drop out of top 4 but they have been really impressive on and off the field.
