Come on mate. Watch any highlights video of Lukaku and you will see him beating defenders. Sure he isn't fancy footed but he's got pace and power, he isn't the perfect signing but I'd take him over Fellaini up top that's for sure!

I never said Fellaini up top, I was simply comparing them technically, as in touch and ability on the ball, both are horrid. Lukaku has the power to barge past numpty defenders for sure, but we saw what a smart CB like Blind could do against him despite the size difference due to how poor his touch and movement are, he's a blunt instrument who isn't good enough for a club that is supposed to have PL and CL aspirations and an identity of playing good football.

That's about £480k per month which would be more than the likes of Neymar earn. He can't be serious demanding that much.

550k a month which is roughly about 137k a week. Not outrageous with today's wages that are thrown about. What's he on at Leicester?

Just checked and yeah seems I was arguing with 2 people at once

Had a brainfart, was thinking as a weekly figure even though I wrote monthly. The Griezmann news has ruined my state of mind today.

That is a fair enough price for Mahrez in that case. Just did a search and he's on £55k a week. Deserves more than that in today's market.

If that's the case (weaker frontline than last season) despite having champions league then us fans will have every right to be extremely hacked off.

Why does every journo or pundit seem to think that we can only sign one player in attack? Absolutely baffles me, we can't sign Griezmann because he's not a 9 and we need to replace Ibra. Well guess what, more than 1 player in a team can score goals...

Absolutely ridiculous that we can't even seem to understand that if we sign several top attacking players that will more than make up for Ibras goals, rather than be resigned to the fact that there's no individual as good as Ibra so we'll have to just accept being worse

Manchester City, Chelsea, Milan, PSG.
Why would City want him? They have more attackers than most teams have players and good ones as well. Don't think Milan and PSG could afford the fee alongside other signings they'll need to make.

Chelsea possible I guess but no-one has been mentioned except us so I reckon Woody is trying to show we'll walk away. Deal will be done IMO

Roma refused a 30m offer from Liverpool for Mohamed Salah.

Not a move I can see Salah wanting to make. He's an integral part of a well functioning Roma side who are miles ahead of Liverpool in terms of on field performances and general squad quality. His time at Chelsea probably hasn't cast the English game in a favourable light either.

I can see the opposite. He'll probably want to prove that he wasn't a flop at EPL and the problem was in Chelsea not giving him chances, not that because he was terrible. I think Roma just wants to raise the price of his leaving and let's be hones, 30m seems too low in the current era.

Salah is of the same nationality as mine, though, it'll be painful for me to see him benefiting Liverpool tbh. I love him, but hate them. Don't know how I'll connect both. Difficult situation. :D

Watched a lot of Roma this season (TV) and Salah has been impressive, good work rate, good skills and an important part of the team, can't see him leaving unless it's for a Stella club

£120k a week, considering how he performed during there title season I think it ain't bad...

120k a week on a one season wonder that downed tools is excessive IMO, but football has gone mad, any half decent talent earns a kings ransom.
