Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

RBLs managing director saying that they have refused a 75m euros bid for Keita and he'll fulfill his contract.

What kind of midfielder is he? Someone we should be looking at?

Is twitter broken today or something? Where are all the updates? I know 90% of them are bogus, but it makes me so sad when I refresh the page and there are no new notifications... :(:boring:

Dynamic, carries the ball very well, very good passing range, creative. Yes we should look at him. Could actually see him working in a 3 with Herrera & Pogba, as he's got so much energy. I can see why Klopp fancies him.

Why should he? If united decide to flog him off, why should he turn down inter? It's not like he'd be going to China. Inter's a big club with rich owners and big ambitions.

And that is precisely what Di Marzio said. United have no intention of letting him go

But United don't want to flog him according to Di Marzio, and in that circumstance if Martial is encouraging Inter then I would be quite disappointed in Martial (again according to Di Marzio). That's what I said, and I don't see what's wrong with it.

His cousin tweeted which is posted in Martial thread " I confirm Inter's interest in Antho. But his head is in Manchester and he is focused to make a good preparation"(translated). I will believe this more

Martial has already said rumours about him wanting to leave are false weeks ago.

Yes, Di Marzio may have good sources but it makes no sense for Martial to think of leaving United at this stage. I would rather believe he is staying.

Time to ditch Perisic and go for Felipe Anderson. He is even more hardworking so Mourinho should love him.

He also had terrible decision making, but so has Perisic.

Doesn't sound too promising. I honestly can't see how securing the 4 targets (which José now believes won't happen) will turn us into title contenders and be competitive in the CL.

I have no doubt he will get all four. Ed will deliver, keep the faith.

4 players are enough.

Signing 5 or 6 players will lead us spending the first 2 months trying to integrate them in the starting line up with absence of linking and consistency it will take us some months before we start getting any results. We tried to sign 6 players under LVG and it was a mess at the first part of the season.

Better than building a whole new team it's better to try to have your group growing links between them and getting used to each other with the key signings focusing on the priorities. Much better than getting a load of players then spending first half of the season figuring how to play them all in the starting line up.

3 players from last summer + 4 players this summer, about 7 players entering the lineup gradually, that's the way to build a team.

If I had to choose, I'd prefer the 3rd and final, if it came down to it, was a good DM rather than Perisic. I don't think Perisic is better than Martial, and I also believe Perisic coming in would marginalise Martial. So effectively - if I had to choose between, say, Dier and Martial or Dier and Perisic - I'd choose the former.

I think we will get 4 targets and I don't think it will be Matic or Perisic. I think the two new signings will be a big shock!

We have lost Zlatan, so our replacement in Lukaku we can only hope he is like for like in terms of goals. We have gained nothing there. We have Lindelof and hopefully he'll be great, but we all know our problems last season wasn't in defence. We have lost Rooney, some might say good riddance because he was turd, but he did score a few goals and was an extra player to reply upon on when others were injured towards the latter stages of the season. 4 players after what I just said is no way enough to challenge.

Meh, just letting clubs know that we aren't completely desperate and are prepared to walk away from potential deals when quoted absurd fees.

I believe we'll get the four.

Totally agree, if we lose Martial just to get Perisic makes no sense, We do need another wide/creative forward in my opinion, an extra one, not a replacement.

If we only get one more (Matic or Perisic) you'd have to say it's been a very poor transfer window. It should improve us, but not considerably. I don't see how that would take us from 6th to 1st and I certainly don't see how it makes us in any way competitive in the CL. Hopefully we have a surprise or two up our sleeves.

Lukaku will get more goals than Zlatan and I'm sure of that. He's not as good in linking up the play ( not bad but not as Zlatan ) but at the same time he can be more clinical in front of the goal and if he just scored 8 more goals than Zlatan in the the frustrating draws we were getting all the season we'll be in good condition.

You need to consider that we can't change all our attackers, or change our whole attack system because all the new players will have to take time to accustomise to each other. On the contrary, the players we have are the ones who need to up their performance. They have a whole year playing together and they should be starting to know how their teammates moving and developing a bond on the field. Instead of changing the whole attack, it's better for these players to get more used to each other and up their numbers, and Mikhi, Rashford, Martial and Pogba are more than capable of getting good numbers if they concentrate enough.

Finally Lindelof is more than a necessary, first: are you happy with the injury crisis we get each season in the defense ? And second, Lindelof ability to play sell with the ball and building attack from the back is going to assist us in our attacking system overall rather than our defenders who tend to just get rid of the ball once it's in their legs.

It's about the whole system, not just this player instead of this one.
