And the fact he smokes regulary..Odd that nobody ever brings up age when talking about this deal. Its supposedly a big issue with Matic and Perisic

Because he has the name and the profile. People seem to fall in love with the idea of players. Matic and Perisic don’t seem as exotic, therefore are criticised more. Nainggolan is older than both and has won less than both yet is held in higher regard.Odd that nobody ever brings up age when talking about this deal. I'm sure they'll find one creeping about in a dark store room of their club shop.
think he'd thrive in epl imo. Rattle them inI'd be happy if they signed Auba. Would fit in as well as Michy. They won’t though. I don’t see any top team going for Auba.
He doesn’t suit any of the top clubs. He’s the perfect player to take advantage of Dortmund’s play. Put him in any other team and he will struggle to replicate his form. He’s not a very well rounded player but he has an eye for a goal.it's odd that no major team is in for Auba, a striker who is pretty much at the top of his game, and has been salivated over time and again on Redcafe over the last few years. What is it? it's not his performances, because they're very good; is it something personal like an off-pitch attitude? have scouts caught wind of something troubling about his character?
For the price he's rumoured available at, coupled with the fact that he's at his peak, it seems odd that he's seemingly not going anywhere.
I don’t see anything about his game to suggest that. He’s the complete opposite of what Chelsea play with upfront. No other team need a striker for the money Dortmund want and the wages he would demand.think he'd thrive in epl imo. Rattle them in
Wouldn't surprise me. Matt Law says he desperately wants out, but Chelsea would prefer to see him outside the league. Inter were linked, I believe. We'll probably sign Matic by next weekend.
I've read that Chelsea will "refuse" selling him to us because of Lukaku. Would be petty if true but who knows. We'll probably sign Matic by next weekend.
More london media mafia bias...I've read that Chelsea will "refuse" selling him to us because of Lukaku. Would be petty if true but who knows.
Nope, not after what happened with Romelu. We'll probably sign Matic by next weekend.
I hope this goes through so I can have a good laugh!
Probably goes deeper than the Lukaku signing. I think Jose is trolling Chelsea with the Matic interest.I've read that Chelsea will "refuse" selling him to us because of Lukaku. Would be petty if true but who knows.

I think Mikhi is great and will only get better next season.I'd be happy if they signed Auba. Would fit in as well as Michy. They won’t though. I don’t see any top team going for Auba.

Im pretty sure hes scored 44 out of 49 chances. (Fairly close to those stats).Auba is a weird one for me. Granted he scored plenty of goals over the past few years but he's a bit like Cavani/Higuain in that whenever you see him play (unless you're a regular watcher of Dortmund/PSG/Juve) he never performs and misses a hatful of chances.
I wouldn't want him for £60m or whatever the reported price is. Lop £20m off it and maybe.
Well, don't wanna be a party pooper, but Herrera started like 25 games as #6 and 16 as #8, so… you're wrong.I wish people will stop suggesting Herrera as a DM. Yes he can play the role but it is so limiting for such a guy who is actually very good going forward. He was not a DM in Spain and has not primarily played as a DM for United. His best moments for us have been when he has been allowed to move box to box or man mark a dangerous opponent. In the former (and even latter like in the Chelsea game) he produced match winning assists. Jose has used him brilliantly so far. Herrera has been the guy defending for Pogba and attacking for Carrick while serving as a back up DM when needed. Tying him down permanently to a DM role will seriously limit him if you ask me. Also, when you observe Herrera carefully, you will notice that compared to the attacking side of his game, his defending is average. He is a very good tackler no doubt but defending is a whole lot more than tackling.
Where we have no choice, sure, I will play Herrera in a DM role and he will do a decent job. But if I can get a specialist DM, that will be my first option.

New counting, 23 as #6, 18 as #8 or other (like chasing Hazard all over the pitch). (I had misplaced some Carrick's, sorry). Same shit, Herrera definitely played more games as #6. Personal records, collected week after week. But, if you find worth the trouble, check, for instance, these.Where did you get these stats from? They don't seem right at all

That's a good qualitative description of what I quantitatively stated, in numbers. Yeah. Not going to check through all those I prefer to use what I saw when watching.
Herrera mostly played in a midfield 2 with Pogba. When paired with Fellani the formation became lopsided and Herrera played deepest however, that's the only time I'd say he played as a 6.
When paired with just Pogba or on a 3 with Pogba and Carrick he played as an 8.

No, sorry, when played in a midfield two with Pogba, you have to admit he was #6.
The only midfield player who played deepest than Herrera is Carrick, point (if you except freak situations like Fellaini almost third centerback against Burnley away). That means Herrera played the deepest midfielder than not, quantitatively, in numbers… against what you intuitively stated. Not really as more often than not he was paired solely with Pogba or with Pogba and Carrick.
It was less often that he was paired with Pogba and Fellani

The add ons only take it to £9.8m!
Disagree, it's good. One year left on his contract, hasn't done anything noteworthy in the past three years (1 league goal against the worst team in the league). Good talent but not amazing IMO. I wish him luck.
