What happened to all the people saying this was a certainty and he was ours?
Maybe we should never have doubted Di Marzio

The journos have been briefed after the recent ruling.

Legally, it's a player who 'buys out' his value from his contracted club; he pays the amount owed. He has to want to do it and so personally approach his club with a formal letter of intention to leave his club by buying out the value of his contract.Setting aside the crap source.
If we plan to activate the clause why would it matter if he has asked or not?

I think that is what is left of the transfer. United will not want to pay 70-80 million upfront as that would be problematic. Not impossible. But difficult.
This is what I thought too. I think this could Ed playing mind games with Atletico.Well it's not like Ibra was just injured was it? So can't be due to that surely.
Why would we brief that we don't want to sign a player if it wasn't true? What would we have to gain except for making journos look like idiots? We don't brief the gospel, we brief what we want to get out.
It seems it's Zlatans injury and not the CaS decision. Not sure I totally buy it, but it's definitely a kick in the teeth when I thought this was sown up!
Laughable.Jamie Jackson says Mourinho "is obsessed' with Lukaku...
What's Jackson's reputation like on here?
IndeedWe don't brief the gospel, we brief what we want to get out.
Or maybe the World is always on the move and circumstances change? What happened to all the people saying this was a certainty and he was ours?

BOOM!
Many interesting repercussions. Costa stays put. Lukaku won't move to Chelsea. Giminez stays put as well as all their other defenders. Lacazette is available. And Griezmann? Watch this space.
Backs up that earlier tweet that said he's out 3rd priority behind Mbappe and Morata...
They wouldn't all say the exact same thing if it wasn't a briefing. When they're briefed they normally say very similar things. There's no sort of opinion added to any of these tweets - they're rallying what the club has told them most likely. Why is everyone convinced it's a briefing and not each journalist copying the other?
Hell no. The kid loves Real Madrid, he will want to go there as soon as he lives up to his potential.Go all In for Mbappe.

If Di Marzio is correct about our targets this summer, then it means we are after Mbappe, Fabinho, Kroos and Moratta. He mentioned Naingollan but also said we accept he won't leave Rome. So it basically means we're gonna get one of Mbappe or Moratta and one of Kroos or Fabinho. It'll be interesting to see which CF we get as it seems Moratta is of to Milan and the whole world is after Mbappe.Di Marzio is fecking wizard, that thing about Griezmann being our third priority sounded ridiculous when I first heard about it
Ducker says Belotti, Lukaku and Morata are targets.
