Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

Obviously we didn't expect him to come for 25m. First bids are always going to be rejected from us. Even if we bid 60m

Don't put your money on us finishing 6th my friend. You will lose it. :)
Wouldn't be nice, but would you mind too much if we've won again the European competition we're involved this season?

Why would Lemar actually want to sign for Arsenal? Don't get why players go there, they know fine well how their season will pan out. It's not like he wouldn't have other offers should he make it clear he's leaving.

London based club, regularly gets CL football, good wages, relatively low pressure (anything more than top 4 is a bonus), play good football, and could be a good platform to take his football up a level, also, french manager (this may be attractive to Lemar specifically)..I don't know, arsenal has its own appeals

Do we really need another playmaker on the wings?
Lemar is a winger albeit not a traditional one but he's still more of a Winger than Mata or Mkhitaryan.

If we had fullbacks who could whip decent crosses in as well we'd be fine but it's the one area Valencia didn't excel in last year neither Blind nor Darmian have the pace to get forward and get back in time to defend.

The £25m bid may well have been an attempt to unsettle Dier given the brief we gave last night was that we believe he wants to leave and join us over wages amongst other things.

I highly doubt that Jose would entrust his fundamental position (every team he has had you van name a top/wc DM), to this guy
What's so fundamental about a non-existing position in 4-2-3-1, since Herrera is the starter?

Agreement with #VitoloMachin until 2022! Will be registered as a team player on 1 January. Will play at Las Palmas until then.

The transfer ban is basically pointless. Ok they will be without their new signings until Jan but they are still attracting big names. In fact its allowing them to keep their star players through guilt. They should scrap the ban and dock points to send a real message.

of course its not pointless - but one transfer window isn't that bad. If you ban someone from signing players for 2-3 transfer windows, it really begins to hurt!

Yeah but we won't ever see such bans applied. CAS would likely reduce on appeal as it would affect competition.

He's fallen out with/been fired from two clubs with more or less dictator like president/owner. With the two other clubs he did fine, won the CL and left on good terms.
He never fell out with Perez though, they're still BFFs. He didn't fall out with Roman either second time 'round

If we did then probably earlier in the summer to test the waters.
Nah, even the catfish in the tributaries of the amazon river know Levy would take such an offer as an insult

You don't piss off the guy you have to negotiate with if you want the player.

Yeah, it's gone swimmingly for Atletico bloody Madrid hasn't it! They've managed to get an extra year out of their best player that they were definitely going to lose, and then sign a load of players to start in January, which will facilitate a nice bedding in period so that when Griezmann (and anyone else) leaves his replacement(s) will just slot straight in.

Why would Levy feel insulted? That's already twice the amount he would bid himself.
