The £25m bid may well have been an attempt to unsettle Dier given the brief we gave last night was that we believe he wants to leave and join us over wages amongst other things.
He's played just over 100 PL appearances, wouldn't call him 'experienced'. He does have a good injury record, he's played 36, 37 and 28 games in the PL since he joined Spurs.

The transfer ban is basically pointless. Ok they will be without their new signings until Jan but they are still attracting big names. In fact its allowing them to keep their star players through guilt. They should scrap the ban and dock points to send a real message.
of course its not pointless - but one transfer window isn't that bad. If you ban someone from signing players for 2-3 transfer windows, it really begins to hurt!
