What rumors?

There was a flame here last week about United being ripped off for Morata or Perisic by foreign clubs so a few oppos started writing about equivalent or cheaper players from the PL, only to be dismissed as wums. United in the end got Lukaku instead of Morata and may well get Ox instead of Perisic.

I'm not complaining by any means, but you can understand why clubs are asking us to fork out more when they know we have the money.

Even some other clubs have money but they sign players by paying less money. For example, Bayern signing James, he could cost them half of what we would have had to pay if we had signed him. Spending OTT money on average players like Morata, Matic or Dier is not the solution to this problem like some fans think.

I never said it was the solution. I think you should go back and read what I actually said, and you'll find that I'm agreeing with you

The sole reason we're asked to pay over the odds is because of our spending history. The same applies to Chelsea and City, but even more so United in recent times.

Seems like the best manager in the world cannot even attract his old mates who are already past it.

I know Alves is not necessarily past it but still funny.

Even I was agreeing with you :D

I meant to say that the other fans think throwing money around is the only solution for every problem, not you.

Don't think so. Mrs Alves is a United fan.

Why not say that then?

It reads to me a lot like the classic trope of the diva WAG talking her husband out of moving to an unfashionable city because she loves shopping, eating out, and high living too much. Why can't Dani Alves like those things too (he probably does?) and why does his wife get the blame for why he doesn't want to play for City?

How hard are you looking...

Not very, considering the first reply is an un-ironic 'women smh' from a City fan its probably easy to see why I don't think that framing is ok.

Yeah, his "wife"

I was just winding you up mate.

Good. He's shit

Actually I am not too sure about that..

I liked him at Porto and he's been very unlucky to compete against Carvajal for that RB spot. I think he's a great player and with regular game time I can see him reaching his Porto level again.

Honestly I would had been happy if we considered him as Valencia cover/successor

Spot on.

Semedo is also a great option for that role should snap him up before Barcelona do.

Where is this being rumored?

The tweet that was posted was just that he might leave Arsenal.

Didn't Fabinho wear the same Union Jack swim shorts as Mendy the other week? They both could be simply trolling us, but I believe there has to be more to it. I'm calling it now...

Fabinho to United.
Mendy to City.

A 34 year old to be a 31 year olds successor?

Can I have a bit of what you're smoking please?

Edit. My bad, thought you were talking about Alves not Danilo sorry.

Could very well happen. Fabinho's Union Jack was a few weeks ago though, to be fair.

The wife is a model and her professional interest trumps the "female" reasoning here. As for fans, there would always be people who take something in a...blah blah blah too pc everywhere these days.
