Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

Very normal to ask 90 for him if Lukaku can go for 75.

Seriously? One will have little/no resale value after his next contract (which you have to sign him to since he only has one year left) and the other is just reaching his prime years.

Not to mention it's obvious Sanchez won't sign another deal at Arsenal so they have less power.

Yep. So easy for these shit papers to run another United-Chelsea hijack story. Obviously bullshit. Anyone with any credibility knows he's off to Chelsea. Not even sure he's that good anyway is he?

I don't want him myself, He's like Herrera bur Ander is much better.

We need an anchor DMF.

Sign Agent T, task him with bringing us agent M next season. Is he as good as Agent P though?

I don't actually want Bakayoko but I would laugh so hard if we stole another Chelsea target

I'm sorry but even if Fabinho fits our club more, I really REALLY want to see Chelsea reactions if it happens....

Isn't matt barlow usually connected well to chelsea ?

Lends more credence to the theory that Chelsea are pushing the United hijack angle so they save face after Lukaku.

I like Bakayoko and would be happy to have him, but I think Fabinho probably fits our squad and general needs better.

If we're not intending to switch to a 4-3-3 and want to keep the 4-2-3-1, he would make sense as a backup for Herrera. Tbh, I'd rather just keep the 4-2-3-1 frankly. I think we'd create far more in that system. The only real negative is that it doesn't give Pogba as much freedom. If we had a good creative cam like we should then that shouldn't matter though. Especially considering we clearly had interest in bringing in Griezmann, this seeming change in formation never made much sense to me. I'm not that big of a fan of Bakayoko but he'd be solid as squad depth in midfield which we need. I don't see the need for a cdm except in certain games against top teams like Real Madrid. I think we could get through the Premier League season without one since Herrera is capable of doing pretty much any job we want to give him in midfield.

I don't know if he is, but if so, maybe he wants it to look like we are after him as well and that he picked Chelsea in the end. Some journalists has a serious ABU mentality.
Not journalists behind this just Chelsea trying to save face after the Lukaku fiasco making out Bakayoko chose them over us

I think Herrera will move further and further back and end up as Carrick's long term replacement.

His game has already changed so much since he signed.

I don't think we'll pay a 40m for a backup option tbh. If we somehow paid this price he's coming as a starter and will play with Herrera and Pogba in a 3 midfield, too, most probably.

Yeh it's exactly this, he was so hurt by lukaku rejecting them that he's spouting this nonsense.

Price I heard was £35m, and that seems to be in or around the price we'll have to pay no matter what midfielder we want, whether he's a backup or starter. We can't just go and sign any average player. What did Klaassen cost Everton? Like £25m wasn't it and he's not at a high enough level to even be a backup for us. Can't see us getting any midfielder who's at a high enough standard to play for Utd for less than £30m tbh.

According to that Daily Mail article, Chelsea wants to pay 37m+bonus but Monaco is stalling at 40m+ bonus. That's not a price for a back up option.
