Does anyone know if he Joins AM, will he be eligible to play in the CL with them as of January.

I am wondering if that means Athletico will let Grizmann go at that point

I think so, what will prevent him ? I think only the player who played for a club in CL can't play for another club in the same CL.

However, I don't think Griezmann will be the one accepting to abandon the CL campaign of Atletico this season. I think we'll have to wait for the next summer.

Yes he would. I doubt Griezmann would leave if Atleti were still in it as he wouldn't be able to play in it for us (if we make it past the groups).

Yeah, I realise that is the case with Griezmann that he will not be able to play for us in the CL but he would be a fantastic asset for us in the league and other comps plus he would have more rest which could significantly help us to the title.

Fair. Forgot they were from London for a second. But still you don't see players clamouring to move to Crystal Palace!
I think West Ham's revenue is a decent amount higher than Crystal Palace's so they'll likely pay more in wages. It's basically the dream club for mid table players.

Florentino will be rubbing his hands with glee at the prospect, he might even increase his asking price.

There are so few options for Chelsea at the moment: Auba, Morata, Belotti.... that's about it.
Yeah by making Costa persona non grata Conte is increasing Perez's bargaining power and as with us he has a couple of players of theirs he covets which means he could demand one be included in the deal or choose to continue demanding outrageous fees.

Yeah they seem to do that every few years. Buy every half decent midtable player, realise they're all a bit gash and get relegated in the process.

Hazard + 20m for Morata then.

So Chelsea dithered on £75M for Rom but will spunk £90M on Morata? Okay

What is strange, whoever they sign is going to be a step down from Costa. Costa must be a complete arse to work with to weaken you side like that.

Is it just me who doesn't rate Costa that highly?
The thing I always found odd with him is he very very rarely scored more than 1 in a game, whereas the other top marksmen in the league would often rack up multiples. Aguero, Kane and Lukaku regularly did.

It would make sense for Sanches for sure, I thought Gnabry night get enough game time through with Costa going and Ribery being so prone to inuries.
If Bayern is willing to let Costa go and loan out Gnabry (and both seems likely after Rummenigge's statements) they must have winger(s) coming in or going for a diamond.
