Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

Yeah, I doubt that's true. Swap deals rarely are. More likely that the Rooney deal is technically seperate.

This could shape up to be mourinhos most powerful team ever. Bailly, Fellaini, Matic, Lukaku, Perisic, Pogba could all feasibly be in the same 11 this season. We haven't ever been much good at set plays, wonder will that change

I doubt we'll be doing business with Chelsea for Matic any time soon after Lukaku.

Add in Tony V and that's almost a miniature NFL team.

*cue team has been spending too many pre-seasons in America complaints

which would = 90 million..... the transfer record Is 89
No it wouldnt because Rooney wont be included in the final price will he its not part money part player they have wavered the fee completely so the final price will probably be £80 million.

I have a question. if we decide to keep Rooney. And straight out take Lukaku. Will the deal still go through at 80 million?

Yes in my opinion because Rooney's fee being wavered is just to sweeten the deal whilst quietly being happy about getting him off the wage bill.

Why are we selling janujaz for 8 m. Criminally low price Seriously.
I may be wrong, but isn't Januzaj on his last year of current contract? He's on quite expensive wage for an unproven young players. If we don't sell, we may end up keeping him then loaning him & got nothing while paying his wage. Even if starting to perform on his next loan, he may decide to leave for free next summer. Best would be getting him sold & adding clause that may benefit us in the long run while saving the wage & have some cash.

I don't know about Kelechi' s situation, so just state our part of affair

It is, Wayne's nuggets will be cold, now he'll be angry and confused.

Who even let's their employees have their phones out during shift?
I saw restaurant owners hang picture of themselves with celebrities in the restaurant all the time (at times, even giving discount, offer free meals to celebrities to get "associated"). A McDonald, Rooney professional footballer, one of the most famous player in the country & the world. The chance to get on some news on for this McDonald & boost sale. If the manager act stupid in this case, then he/she properly is not born for management, even for McDonald.

Haven't we paid more Lukaku than Madrid asking for Morata?
Last time I check, Madrid didn't offer to take Rooney off our hand... And for all we know, the fee quoted by Madrid may be higher than being reported. It may be our bid and Real Madrid want us rinsed. Who knows?

Joyce is probably the most reliable Liverpool based journo. not sure what he's like with Everton stuff though
everton fans say on reddit that he's basically the merseyside journo to listen to for both clubs. He's extremely credible.

Could be possible that we informed Morata and his agent that we were going to sign Lukaku because we couldn't see eye to eye with Madrid on a fee? Maybe that is why his agent and dad both had that much publicised, albeit short, meeting with Perez and Madrid?
Thought the exact same thing. There is no way we duped Morata. He would have been informed

"white player". Racist

Ban request for Marca. Already a piece of bs propaganda, now this.

Not sure if that's just the translation or not. Surely they'd be referring to "The player in white" as in Los Blancos, as in Real Madrid? Hopefully anyway.

I'm not a Spanish speaker but looked at the translation and wonder if they didn't refer to Real s nickname and in essence said a Los Blancos player rather than talking about his race?

This is so blindingly obvious, it's not even worth a debate. Madrid are called Los Blancos, The Whites, there is nothing sinister whatsoever
