Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

A lot of people around here have recently criticsed Madrid for being heartless and not looking out for a players best interests. Isn't this pretty much the definition of a dick move from United?

Not in the slightest... If anything, Real are to blame for slapping such an unrealistic price for the player. They wanted to skin us and (sadly for Morata and hopefully not us) we moved on.

It would be somewhat similar to call Everton d*cks if they don't sign Rooney because we want 50+ million for him...

A shame for him, but he's only got his club to blame for this!
If he gets stuck, we can take him on a season long loan:D
Seriously feel bad for the lad:(

This is why a player should never show his hand and stay silent until a transfer has been sorted.

So Lukaku is having his medical in LA right now and could be signed in a few hours.

He was one of my top targets this summer tbh as a back up striker. This was mainly because I didn't think we would be playing with a target man, as our big money addition would be a Griezmann or Mbappé or so. I wanted Llorente to give us that option.

Signing Lukaku would negate that, but he's a good player.

Is the medical meant to be happening now, or when we go to LA on tour?

I can imagine the deal will definitely be done by Sunday, as that's when we're flying out. Be nice if we could wrap up another signing (Nainggolan, Perisic, etc) before we go.

He's got a lot right about us down the years, people just hate to admit it due to who he is, and who he works for.

I actually don't remember him at all getting stuff right about us  but every credible journalist seems to think it's done so we have to take their word for it :D

Done dealio? Even though I'm still not sure If his word is good, he's never had a good reputation for United transfers has he in the past? (Discarding his Rooney to Everton sources)
This is not speculation. He's actually confirming an actual event. Must have some reliable source to be so certain.

Do feel for Morata. I know that people think otherwise, but united are one of the biggest clubs ever and the chance to be the main number 9 for a number of years is a big chance for any player. Maybe he could have done more to get the move going and the price dropped - hopefully a lesson learned for Perisic !!

Tough shit really. He could have done more to force the move. If he/agent had of went to Perez and said I really want United, then I'm sure better progress could have been made. He missed the boat and United can't sit still waiting while Lukaku is available.

Likely now, I'd assume. LA has more than adequate medical facilities, assuming you can pay for them.
Oh without doubt they have the facilities, but my point was are we doing the medical and signing when we arrive Sunday?

The 10pm Twitter storm has been good to United tonight. Looks like a medical is in the works in the U.S. according to the latest 10pm reports.
