I don't think anyone has an issue with Morata himself. It's his fecking obnoxious employers getting theirs. He's an unfortunate casualty of their arrogance and petty dealings. He was all for the move as far as we're aware so there's no reason to be hard on him. It is a shame for him and he must be pissed, but it's Madrid's problem now.
If we are indeed going for Lukaku over Morata, we had better be in for a more dynamic winger than Perisic.

Chelsea have showed a great lack in negotiations the previous 3 summers that I doubt they'll be able to negotiate with Madrid over a price. Madrid will ask for 90m or Hazard at least. Fact is Chelsea is hesitant about paying large sums of money and they aren't how they used to be some years ago hence Lukaku deal failed miserably for them.

FWIW only 3 wide players in Europe's top 5 leagues created more chances from crosses than Lemar last season.

The problem is, apparently, Lukaku was first choice, so there was always going to come a moment where the Morata negotiations would stall till we were sure we had no chance to buy the Belgian.
Don't really care about that. I would've preferred both Lemar and Bernardo Silva to Fabinho, since I think other players can do what Fabinho can do in the right set-up by Jose.
He hold some responsibility for telling Costa to leave before securing a striker tbh and put the club in a hard situation in next negotiations. I think may very well be the start of break down between Roman and Conte.
