Unlikely we have agreed terms but Lukaku and his entourage would of been contacted to make sure they were up for a move to United before the bid had been loged.

I'm aware that many are reporting all interest in Morata is ended but I'm not convinced. It's an easy conclusion to come to. Not to mention even if we have stopped contacting Real it might mean the deal is dead but it could also be a negotiating tactic to force Real to lower their price to meet what we were originally prepared to offer. Wouldn't be shocked to see Morata rumours resurface in a couple weeks.

Considering he seems to be the best player in the Chinese League and is undoubtedly essential to their performances I don't think that's stupid on the Chinese club's part at all. They don't need the money

Thing is, apart from Martial, we lack a direct runner, who has the ability to take on 2/3 players. I guess, we could have a direct runner one one side, with a wide forward on the other - similar to the Mandzukic/Cuardrado partnership at Juventus. However, I very much doubt Morata would be happy with that role, especially when I can imagine he has offers guaranteeing him a starting role up top.
Nothing wrong with the Chinese club refusing, will be good publicity showing players in their league good enough for Barca.
What I mean is that, neither one is really known for running in behind or using their blistering pace to get away from strikers. The two wouldn't compliment each other, like say a Griezmann, Mbappe, etc would, in my opinion.
