Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

I thought that was a myth. He's not our official photographer. He part times or did part time for us is what I remember.
Ah, could be mate. I know he's freelance but thought we always used him so assumed he'd be in the know.

Nah, he's just freelance, but tends to be our go-to-guy for photography of new transfers.

Either he's been asked to prepare for a shoot, or he's seen the BBC news same as the rest of us. He's usually pretty liable close to transfers being concluded, so I'd say the former is probably true, but it could be that he's just excited like the rest of us (some of us).
Yeah, knew he was freelance but was under the impression that we use him a lot and would have be in the know with regard to done deals.

It is believeable that Jose would want both. We are very short up front and they are 2 very different strikers.

Think I'll trust the BBC and journalists close to United over Marca.
Marca trying to spin some positive Madrid propaganda as always. They've dropped the ball here so they'll say this now and something along the lines of "the player turned down a move after meeting with Zidane" over the coming weekend.

Lukaku's got to fly from LA to Manchester so he can fly from Manchester to LA with United.

Be easier (and cheaper!) to fly Norwood out there to do the shoot. I did think that's how he knew, as in the club asked him to get his passport ready, but he did actually state Lukaku on the plane.

If he would be taking photo shoot himself and he openley leaked the information then it would be his last photo shoot. Unless he has dodgy Photo's of Ed.

I assume a he is going along with the media or he knows people in the club like who have told him. Both are likley.

But who are we signing in midfield? And when?

Surely Mourinho wants a deal for said player to be wrapped up in the coming days ahead of the first game on tour?

Not as nearly a priority as the striker situation was. Besides, we have two clear starters there.

Just woke up here in Canada. Can someone explain WTH happened over night? Are we getting Lukaku & Morata? Went to sleep - Morata all agreed and he was signing at the weekend. Wake up and it's all about Romelu....

Is that the translation?

so that does mean they were expecting the deal to go through and woodward pulled out?
They are saying it was nearly done, Morata's still Mourinho's priority, etc.

I really hope we get them both in. With Rooney leaving, that leaves us with only Rashford up top. I know Martial can also play there, but I do believe he is better suited for a left winger.

According to James Cooper (apparently), Lukaku was always our number 1 target and we hid behind the Morata link to negotiate with Lukaku on the sly. Something like that.

All media outlets saying Morata interest has ended.

Negotiations were almost on the verge of candy? No wonder these things take so long if the feckers are sitting around deciding what sweets to eat first before finishing the deal.
"A punto de caramelo" is a cooking metaphor. The glazing becomes candy... before starting to burn bad (maybe, I don't cook).

On the cusp/almost finalised.

The funny thing is actually seeing how they feverishly reported and changed reporting as they tried to wrap their heads around it.

They seem to have settled for "was only 5M away so pretty much done dealio" betting on a close. If it lags they'll likely start with the "didn't want to sell him anyway" while praying Conte goes Morata having lost Lukaku.

Woodward Fecked them over? Surely there will be defense from madrid anyway that he decided to stay after talks with zidane, and we will say lukaku was always no 1:lol: with no conclusion reached

So Morata ended his honeymoon early to conclude a deal to United, only for United to turn to Lukaku? That's pretty harsh but I quite like United's secrecy here.

Noone credible said Morata ended his honeymoon early. It was a pile of streaming turd by gossip columns.

Personally, I don't like it when players who evidently want to join get caught up in the crossfire. Similar happened with Herrera and the Three Amigos.

The thought of Madrid with egg on their faces is a temporary amusement, but I'd rather we finally got the guy.

It's not like he would choose us if he had a choice though. He came out and said he wants to stay at Madrid, he's pretty much being forced out the door through lack of game time.
