Not happy about this. Morata > Lukaku

but at the same time Real was taking the piss, so oh well, if true, welcome to lukaku I guess

it's done. This bloke is tier 1 on /r/reddevils and never been wrong and I mean never. He's one step off being a club confirmation.

Wow. Has to be serious to write in such fashion; and he is probably the only twitter source that has established sources in Utd

Morata being the smokescreen for Lukaku then becomes Lukaku being a smokescreen as we go back for Morata. The smokescreen is a smokescreen for another smokescreen. Then Rooney gets a contract extension.

I am amazed how the people involved actually pull off any deals. It seems you cannot trust anyone involved (sometimes not even a fax machine).

I actually expect another announcement to come out today, what with the tour. Not necessarily a club announcement, but something similar to this anyway, for a second player.

What the he'll is going on with Lukaku?

If Mino is fecking with us he'll be sorry, rather cross Conte than Mourinho.

Media reporting the news from Utd camp is done deal while Everton disagree. No fecking idea whats going on

Craig Norwood says the deal is done. Short of Moses decending from the Stretford End with an extra commandment this is the best source you are going to get...

No point in spreading a "we agreed a deal" rumor from the United camp. Agreeing to spend a feck ton of money won't exactly scare Madrid. Think it's just the information got out before everything was settled (or they also agreed a fee with Chelsea)

IMO, Everton are probably still trying to finalise terms with Rooney, they won't announce the sale of Lukaku until they have some good news to soften the blow.

Just goes to show how little the media know.

Yesterday there was a video from some chap from Full Time Devils Youtube channel saying a United player had confirmed the Morata deal to him, and even overnight the sources were saying that our valuation of Morata was only a "few million" off

Furthermore, the figures being thrown around for Lukaku were in excess of £100 million - utter rubbish.

I can never trust a media source again, no matter how reliable it sounds.

It's not official until its manutd.com official.

@Acquire Me

Can you please explain in lofty business terms that us mere mortals can never hope to understand if Morata is still a done deal?

Surely a man with his ear so close to the ground, who was born into business negotiations and lives in business meetings, will be able to guide us?

Or Craig Norwood apparently

fecking love a good hard left turn in the transfer market. This will be up there with Anderson signing in addition to Nani as far as initial excitement goes (for me anyway).

I'm sure we say this every transfer window. Then everyone forgets, the day before the next one starts, how much they got wrong or how far off the mark they were last time.

Normally I'd be totally with you here but previously Norwood has been there when they are proceeding for a medical; I assume because he's involved in the photography. In this instance he seems simply to be echoing the raft of media reports. At 1030, I was convinced as I consider the BBC to be the oracle but now I'm really not sure this is done and dusted.

Not saying he won't come but think there's plenty of work to do still.

It was a done. As a man in the middle of business deals for a living, I can guarantee you that being done doesn't always equate to actually done. But it was done.

Norwoods subsequent tweet seems to suggest otherwise...

So United briefing a fee agreed, Everton denying that, Chelsea saying they're still in for him... wouldn't be surprised if this is a way to get Madrid to back down and knock 5-10m off the Morata fee to be honest.

Hadn't seen that tweet but that one was still this morning when it all broke on the Beeb etc. You have to question why several sources are firmly stating that Everton have said 'no deal yet'. It could be just formalities or it could be that we jumped the gun. My feeling is that it's more the latter right now but I hope I'm wrong because if Lukaku us who we're getting then I definitely want him on the plane to the US.

Juve are still adamant that they aren't going to sell Pogba...

:lol::lol::lol:

I never saw a report saying the deal is done. Initial breaking news was "Bid was accepted".
There is so much more to a transfer than just the fee. And what do we know about personal terms?
Until United announces it, I won't be getting too excited.

Lukaku's got to fly from LA to Manchester so he can fly from Manchester to LA with United.
That's just crazy. The medical has to be tomorrow if he isn't flying in today. Let's hope he passes. Couldn't the medical be done in LA?

Yep, exactly.

Also @Acquire Me ... I backed you up a lot when you were getting shite, but now I've finally realized it too. You are a dirty WUM.

I agree when Norwood tweets or starts following our target it's more or less done. But this one seems strange as senior Everton officials are saying no fee agreed?

That's okay Donut. The info I got is from the same source and I trust him. So that's that. Maybe we played everyone to think it was him all along or its still on. Regardless, it was the last time with Morata and its no point sticking my neck out anymore. The possibility that we use a player to do business elsewhere is a factor that it's impossible to know about, so it's best to follow the transfer window as I usually did. More fun also.

This means that United has already lost interest in Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata, " said the same information. A fact that is not true, since Manchester United and, above all Mourinho, continue to have as a priority the white player.

Negotiations were almost on the verge of candy after many hours of work. The Maadrid had planted in 80 million fixed plus 10 by objectives and United was to five million. That is, almost closed. Despite this, United have moved and have used a possible closed signing of Lukaku to make the Madrid club nervous and yield to Morata.
