Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

That was his price because of the juventus deal with riola. Anybody who signed him would have to pay the same amount so why solely blame united for overpaying in that deal. Even that record will soon be broken with mbappe or dybala. Even psg wants 100 m for veratti.

We got the money back for di maria, who was bought as a desperation to 2013 summer buisness and woodwards desperation to make a statement ,While shaw being 18 yet 67 games into his epl career and his entire age in front of him to develop while being english just like a ferdinand transfer, Look at sandro or VVD fee now.

We are already overpaying for morata with 70 m offer who has lower numbers that lacazette and unrpoven. If a club demands unrelaistic overblown overrated price for the quality of the player that does not mean they will get it.

Sandro hasn't moved, we lost money on di Maria and Pogba's inflated fee was exclusive to us. No other club was stupid enough to bother with such intricate payments barring us, which means relative to the market, we over paid.

Chelsea are signing wing backs for 35m when they achieved far more than Shaw did, and paying that much because wing backs are a different, rare art to standard full backs.

Lacazette is a good example of where the market is now. Moving for about 30% more than you'd expect but that's the price for a 25 goal striker at 26. Pogba wasn't even worth 50m let alone 89m but we just gave a blank cheque. Not going to derail further. You're the only one around who seemingly thinks we aren't paying a price this summer for overpaying in the past. It's blatantly obvious and the writing was on the wall when we bought Pogba last summer (heck I even made a thread on it last year).

Ive stopped caring about the transfer window and focused on getting a VR system, gaming PC and banging my gf, i suggest you all do the same. This window is only going to hurt you all

edit: i dont mean you all should bang my gf

Can't afford VR, I have a potato for a pc and I've been married 5 years.

The transfer window is all I have!

Maybe United will start signing big players if we all banged your gf :D

Edit was late. Damage has been done.

We should buy Vardy, and then we will be in a position to negotiate hard with Madrid. But right now, with just Rashford and possibly Martial as our strikers, we are negotiating from a very weak position.

Oh come on, Pogba was eaisily more than 50 m in this market. A 4 time seria a champion and a player with enormous potential marketing ability and age on his side who's best it yet to arrive, Besides Any one would have to spend the same amount on him we did, Real madrid bauked down because of two reasons because they already had kroos and modric and bringing him would have unbalanced their midfeild while casemiro did balance them out pretty nicely and also because he wanted to come here and play for us and mourinho's project, while real could not afford that much as they dint needed a player of the profile which they already had , yet they offered a huge sum as well still. If real were short of what they required in the middle they would have been forced to matched the same price. Also as i mentioned it was a unique situation where we wanted to sow our ambitions and build a project around him.

Also You are going too harsh on shaw, He was one of the most exiting potentials at the time, He arrived little overweight but he had a decent first season, Of course he did not live upto the previous years level but that's what you expect from an 18 year old, Blind was amongst lbg's favourites so in that time shaw was made to work on his fitness which he did, second year before the injury he was showing his potential and next year any player with that kind of inury is expected to take 6-8 months to truly return to the same form like before. Shaw will eventually live up to the price tag we paid.

Also We dint loose much on di maria at all if you understand how the transfer fee and wages are calculated. We dint over pay for any transfers under lvg's second year and also not last year.

YEah as if Leicester will bow down to United and just sell Vardy cheaply. Their arguably best player. At least one of their key players that have won the league more recently. I have no doubt it would be cheaper than 80M but would be it be considered cheap? I dont think so.

They'd sell for 20m I think. Vardy or King from Bournemouth might be the best value this summer.

And also you dont read too much into overblown stories with added spices.
I did say it was a big if. I don't believe the story at all.
But if it's true it means that he wont have the same amount of leeway he would have if he and Woody are working together. If you stab someone in the back you have to watch out for reciprocation.

Why? Also why would they get pissed off at that?

Don't take me too seriously. Just whining.

Madrid is probably just hitting us back after the Rinaldo and De Gea experiences. It's their time to squeeze.

That's it, United need to grow smarter out there, you would also get leverage against power sellers... Madrid would be desperate to offload Morata for £45m at the end of August if you get Vardy today for £25m+Young or similar. Same Inter for Perisic, if you get a winger like Oxlade for peanuts.

Just a circulation of the previous rumours. Might aswell delete it before muppets get hope.

Exactly. United are playing the market appallingly. Have done for at least 5 years. I recognize the teams like Spurs and Chelsea have haven't invested much either yet. But both will buy players and complete transfers that make sense. Likely Chelsea are waiting for Everton to finish spending the Lukaku money before they complete their big transfer. Spurs, I imagine will bring in a winger and perhaps another striker to compete with Kane, but otherwise they look solid. United are losing Ibra and Rooney (along with Bastian, Morgan and Depay from January) and have yet to plug THOSE gaps, never mind the pre-existing gaps in the squad before those.

I hope you are being sarcy

Now we'd be competing with likes of Juve if we actually tried being sensible like that. It's painful to watch us get linked with some of these players for twice the amount that they are actually worth while our league is full of players who can give similar output.
