Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

What rumours? Is this about that weird thread on Martial moving that had sources like express, etc. If so, I am shocked that he felt the need to deny them.
Kills all rumours though doesn't it if only more players would do similar.

How could it possibly be about anything else?

What I mean is surely a top club want him and would offer very good wages so he doesn't need to go there, is he really only interested in the money or does he have an injury so top clubs don't want him?

It is reported that he will earn 30m over there, that's three times as much as he would earn at a European top club. Quite a big reason to go

KEITA: I COULD SEE MYSELF AT CITY

Liverpool target Naby Keita has ambitions of playing for "one of the very big clubs" but appears to have a preference for Manchester Cityover Jurgen Klopp's side when it comes to the Premier League.

The highly-rated Guinea midfielder, whom RB Leipzig value at £70m, name-checked City alongside Barcelona and Real Madrid when discussing where he wants to be in a couple of years' time.

According to Welt the 22-year-old turned down a move to England last summer as he felt he needed more development time at a non-Champions League club. However, a successful season in the Bundesliga, in which he helped Leipzig to second place securing Champions League football, has enhanced his profile and now he is now more confident about his abilities.

"I hope, however, that I have the level in two, three years and could play for one of the very big clubs," he told Welt. “This includes Barcelona, but it also includes Real Madrid or Manchester City."

If it takes Martial to tweet that the Sun/Metro/Express/Big Kev from your local know nothing about football transfers and are talking shite, then the internet is doomed.

Had read reports about him wanting 10mil net which was putting off clubs. He's now set to get 30mil in China, safe to say he wants to make sure he signs the biggest deal possible to cash in on the fantastic season he had.

Problem is we know those sources are shite but journalists from other countries will just report tthe story anyway and soon the rumours are in 3 different countires, Martial tweet stops that happening would be easier if more players were open on twitter like him.

More players and clubs should do this to shut down the nonsense factories that make up pure lies to make money on them – completely legally apparently.

I agree, I know the rumour mill is fun but I feel with every player being on social media a little more transparency would go a long way. There is the argument that it suits them especially with contract negotiations etc but the number of fake rumours is just ridiculous and it's now hard to believe anything unless it comes from the best sources.

Isn't that considered tapping a player? Sounds similar to what Liverpool were doing with Virgil van Dijk

Yes and no - because in theory, they could say that "if Courtois wants to leave Chelsea - we want him" - which wouldnt be illegal.

Every club taps up unless you believe clubs spend ages in negotiations without even knowing if the player wants to come and whether his demands are in their ball park. It's only when a club goes overboard like Pool did basically turning his head to force a move that a club reports them.

David Amoyal has Fabinho to United at 45% likely, someone responds saying that's low then he responds saying it's very high for him. For reference he has Manolas and Paredes to Zenit at 75%

The negotiation with Monaco is well on its a way, and a deal could be reached for around €50 million.

:drool::drool:

Yes Real Madrid do it all the time and get away with it.
Everyone does it and everyone gets away with it. Everyone except for teams that let their inferiority complex get the best of them and run to the press to brag about it, that is.

First mention of Matic on the BBC......in their gossip section quoting the Independent :lol::lol:
Which probably means you shouldn't have posted it. Let's keep the quality a little high.

This "transfer" feels like such a smokescreen.

I know this hasn't been posted as such, but can we add the BBC gossip column to the blacklist?

@Damien @Raoul They add nothing independent and have a lower barrier for aggregation than we do and also have an annoying habit of not mentioning its the gossip column in their tweets which feels more than a little click-baity.

already deleted post. I should've known better.

Chris, with so many requests for "blacklisted" it's no wonder the last 20 pages have contained about 8 actual tweets. I can understand blacklisting random shills that just make shit up but we can't start blacklisting media outlets like BBC and SKY. Christ on a bike.

It's not blacklisting the BBC is it? It's specifically blacklisting their roundup of what shite sources we already blacklist are saying.

Omg, werst trany wind in lyk Eva, sine sum won alrdy
Fml, smh, pdq, BRB, etc.

we will buy him for 50m in 2 years time

Its kind of alright though. Its the next step up from Burnley and if he continues to improve then he will have earned the following step up to one of the top clubs.

So that's Klaassen, Onyekuru, Pickford and Keane for Everton. Have I missed anyone else?

Seems like they mean business.

Not really impressive to be fair.

All of those are impressive for a club like Everton except for Onyekuru who has decent potential. Not really sure what kind of players you expect them to get.
