Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

All of those are impressive for a club like Everton except for Onyekuru who has decent potential. Not really sure what kind of players you expect them to get.

Klaassen is decent at most. There were a lot more impressive players coming for the Dutch competition who have failed. Pickford and Keane are also decent players, nothing more. Onyekuro has lots and lots of potential, I'm looking forward to his season with Anderlecht.

The fact that Everton want to sign him doesn't indicate there is some sort of race to sign him as they have tried to portray all summer. First it was United set to 'win the race', then Liverpool. After all, it looks like Everton will sign him unchallenged, as United and Liverpool went after others.

Not really impressive for a club that supposedly wants to challenge for the top 6 with its new ownership, especially when you consider the likely exits of Barkley and Lukaku.

I agree. However the point is that they're going to Everton and not Barcelona. Which better players would you expect Everton to get instead of Keane, Klaassen and Pickford? I would love to hear some suggestions.

Again, I don't know what kind of players you were expecting them to sign. Keep in mind the financial resurgence of the Milan giants and the preference of Spanish players to stay in Spain and move to the likes of Sevilla, Bilbao, Villarreal and others. But we'll agree to disagree, don't want to steer the thread off-topic.

Sounds like Inter is signing a few players, wonder where they get the money from :p

With Pellegri and Salcedo in the bag (ok with Genoa, to be defined with the players), #Inter works for Coulibaly. Ok with Pescara, he'll talk to agent

Maybe they accepted a 35m plus add on offer from us and spending it before announcing the sale

They won't make any payments now, they can easily complete the signings on July 1st which means the numbers will be added for next financial year.

Btw read Coulibaly's story few days back, it's great that he is getting chances after all the risks he took.

They're in big trouble with FFP though and need to balance the books before July. They can't just spend, spend, spend.

They need to balance books by June end, that doesn't mean they can't sign new players now and make it official on July 1st which means all the numbers are for next financial year.

Looks like Inter are ready to take the hit with FFP. They will pay the fine and get on with it.

someone like Kevin Volland would be a good purchase for Everton. But you're right there are very good players littered in those leagues but they prefer to stay there over chasing money abroad. develop better too.

If that was the case what is the point of them selling all these players may as well of kept them and took the hit anyway.

I know it's early days but this has to be the most boring transfer window for a while, we keep on getting linked with the same 3 to 4 players which nothing seems to be happening with. Even other top teams haven't gone mental yet . Everton seem to be having success with nearly a new team and I'd like to see how they all gel together

surely Monaco can't afford to sell off half their squad. might just be a case of who gets the first 2/3. can't imagine they'll want to sell any more than that.

They are a selling club like Dortmund unfortunately. They will get around 170-190m from selling their four stars and thats without selling Mbappe. 50m from Bernando, 40m from Bakekayo (or whoever he is), 40-50m from Lemar and 45m from Fabinho. They will buy young stars and hopefully challenge for the title again in two years time.

They tried to balance the book. It's not the end of the world of they can't. Also none of the signings are official, they will be made official in July.

They have till 30th June to find 30 million, if not fine or whatever UEFA punishes them. From July it's normal transfer season for them.

I think we'll see shitloads of transfers after July 1st. The majority of the bullshit "rumours" will be dismissed. Many of the actual confirmed transfers will be complete surprises.

He would have been a good option for us but I have the feeling we simply went for the better defender/player in Lindelöf.
Its Perisic all over again. We should be aiming higher. Also for around the same price Lindelof is definitely the better option with a bigger upside.

I agree, not the biggest fan of Perisic, they are better options out there.
