We will not win CL again before we get some world class game changers. And we will not even win PL before we upgrade team a lot. Matic is just slight upgrage and is past of his peak already. Soon he will be average, if he's not already.

We should aim to same where we were 2008. And gap between us and toptop teams is not going get smaller with players like Matic. We should do better. Where are this years "Pogbas" and "Zlatans"? Most of fans will be really dissapointed to summer if Matic, Perisic and Morata are our new signings. It's not even near what we need to compete with Real and Bayern, other huge clubs like United.

Valencia is not the best RB in the league. No chance he is better then Walker. I'd say Bellerin is better as well.

He's one of the top players in the league when it comes to crossing accuracy. It's the numpties on the other end of them that don't put them away enough. Guess that is why you have this perception.

He was a below average cog in a great machine last season and a crucial aspect in their 10th place finish the season before.

Yeah, one that doesn't move like he's 35 as well, which Matic does. When someone is sitting in the single pivot their ground coverage laterally needs to be excellent, Matic has the mobility of an oil tanker.

Stats say nothing about the type of cross. He had Ibra to float useless balls to last season. When was the last time he whipped in a good cross to a player not over 6'4?

If pep would be buying him every one would be going Gaga over his analytical thinking. Matic just one the title ,he is no way past his best.

Yes, and we are weak in the air at the back, which is why Mourinho will likely take a pragmatic view and choose Matic if he's available.
As someone who likes high tempo attacking football it's a disappointment to see a slower more side to side player brought in, but I'm not a manager so maybe he is right.

Peak Matic is great but I don't think he'll dovetail as well with Pogba since they both prefer to play on the left side of midfield. Fabinho is more naturally suited to the right.
