Matic over Fabinho would be so dumb.
Okay fabhinho is first choice but matic would be great fit as well. People are being unreasonable here on matic.

It's probably Willian instead of Matic, that'd be much more interesting.

Oh he is much better than fellani, and one of the most important traits of a cdm is a positional dicipline and abilities to read threats and break up the play which matic has in abundance and he's also creative , plays like a destroyer in high pressure and has the ability to make right forward passes with good vision.
It's very difficult to find penetration through the centre against these kind of players.
While gueye type are more dynamic and positionally caught out .

He's just an unglamorous signing. The fans want us to play more progressive football and Matic is a fairly limited footballer.

I fully believe Di Marzio. He always said that we're after Fabinho. There is no other interest in him so I expect woody to get him through the door.

We will not win CL again before we get some world class game changers. And we will not even win PL before we upgrade team a lot. Matic is just slight upgrage and is past of his peak already. Soon he will be average, if he's not already.
We should aim to same where we were 2008. And gap between us and toptop teams is not going get smaller with players like Matic. We should do better. Where are this years "Pogbas" and "Zlatans"? Most of fans will be really dissapointed to summer if Matic, Perisic and Morata are our new signings. It's not even near what we need to compete with Real and Bayern, other huge clubs like United.
