Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

Whilst I'm not convinced about this rumour being true, Bernardo Silva was signed sealed and delivered with about two hours notice.

There was lots of talk about Silva leaving beforehand, though. So far, there was zero talk about Javi leaving us. It would also come as a huge surprise, Carlo rates him highly, and his contract runs till 2020.

Bale's hair is the odd one out so it must be him :D
Not that i think they can afford it, with the new stadium and all. But what if he returned to Spurs? A front 4 of Alli,Eriksen,Bale
, and Kane would be one of the, if not the best starting line up in the league. Except for the games Bale misses due to injury ofcourse

Won't happen. Honestly can see him moving to PSG if he leaves Madrid.

Little off topic kinda, but does anyone think Simon Jones of the Daily Mail is actually a fake name put on their gossip stories?

Read the mail now and most 'rumours' have his name to it. Never seen him with an exclusive, or break a story....always seems to report what everyone else does, after theyve done so

Boy, are you saying it's a racket?

Surely a PL club would jump at the opportunity to get arguably the best British player around with a fat bid if he became available. There's room at Utd or Chelsea.

I wouldn't mind him at PSG but we have no reason to pay the British tax.

Have you seen him play? I am curious to know on what grounds are you predicting Mbappe will not be the next superstar. Really open to considering your view. What weaknesses in his play make you reach that conclusion?

And big clubs being keen on buying a young star does actually say a lot about the lad because such clubs have the experience, knowledge base, structure and personnel to spot big talents. It is actually unusual for such young players they battle to sign to end up average. Too early to write off Renato Sanchez. He has only had one poor season and that's partly due to the fact that he has not had much game time. And for Di Maria, PSG is not exactly regretting buying him.

I have watched him only a few times. But in none of those games has he stood out so much to make me think he is special.
I am not saying he is shit. He is very good for his age. But certainly not a 'great' player in the making, or worth anywhere close to 100m Euros.

I think he has good pace but he loses the ball quite often trying to dribble it past defenders. Other than his pace and to an extent, his finishing, I don't find anything special in him.

Renato Sanchez doesn't get a chance because he simply isn't good enough to displace others in that team. Rashford was good enough to displace Rooney last to last season if not for LVG's love for the latter. And he did displace Rooney under Jose. Renato was just hyped up like Mbappe now and Lucas Moura a few years ago (a few clubs were willing to spend big on him too and he has been nothing close to 'Special')

Coming to Di Maria, at least we regret signing him. Also, there were rumors of PSG wanting to ship off Di Maria to Inter. They may not be regretting, but they clearly aren't happy with him if this rumor is true.

I'm not sure thats enough to take such a view, although I'm not even saying he is going to be a superstar, but I would say you should probably watch him more than only a few times.

His movement in and around the box is special for someone his age, he also very strong with his back to goal and is able to fight with the CBs, thats also unusual for his age too.

Everyone loses the ball dribbling past defenders, Martial and Rashford included.

He's playing for Roma, loaned from Barca. Still 31.

Apparently according to wiki he played only 9 matches in the Serie A for Roma.

yeah and only 4 games in the starting 11.
This guy was so terrible, I remember when he was sent off against Porto in the UCL playoffs while Roma was winnning 1-0 at Oporto (2 deserved yellow cards in the 1st half).
What a fecking cnut

Liverpool have been told by Borussia Dortmund they need to pay £63m to sign forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. (Source: Independent)

I can't embed media yet, but it's all over the net.

Aubameyang's weekly wage demands are around £200,000, at least that's what the media reported when PSG pulled out of the deal. Not so sure Liverpool would pay that.
