But one good year as a teenager is enough to suggest he's good enough to play at the highest level?
Yeah, because the main problem with youth is inconsistency and their potential is usually judged by their best performances. It's not an ideal system, but that's how it is.

No it is not, but it should be enough to take a chance on him if that price is right. As for one good year, look at the interest in Mbappe.

Morata, Nainngolan and Fabinho would make us title favourites. That midfield in a 4-3-3

Can't see it happening, but one can dream.
I still think your attacking options overall are a bit lacking personally. Genuine question, do you feel that Morata alone is enough? That's just effectively replacing Ibras goals, even if he does well.

Martial and Rashford should step up and get out of their sophomore slump.

Nah, don't think it is enough, we've still got no worldie game changer on our rooster, Griez was supposed to be that but Atletico and the girlie haired twat messed that one up.

Really no one available of the required quality either.

Pretty sure we'll sign 2 attackers

You're right, maybe not title favorites, but certainly up there. Still need Martial and Mkhi to step up their game significantly.

I do. but that's based on Rashford , Mhki and Martial all contributing alot more next season plus Morata. I also think Pogba will do alot better next year with someone like Fabinho behind him.

Why not ? By securing technically good defender so early, Woodward surely got time for other areas to work on, especially when having shopiing list bit earlier than usual.

You'd think we'd be signing one midfielder but if José wants 2 then we might be interested in 2 of them. Nainggolan/Sanches play the same kind of role (although Nainggolan has been in a more offensive role last season) and Fabinho more covering defensive midfielder.

I don't see us going for anyone that will displace Herrera as a starter. He played a big part last season and I think we'll see a lot of him this coming season. Now if Fellaini is off, would make sense to bring in two midfielders.

The other being Perisic :wenger:
No matter how much I try, can't get behind that transfer
As long as Martial steps up we're all good ha. Tbh I think Perisic can do a good job even though hes not a player I would want to sign

Yeah, i'm with you. A lot of games though and depth is a good thing. Hope Pereira can step up.

I find it surprising that there are no rumours surrounding Lemar from Monaco, he was just as impressive as B.Silva last season and would be a brilliant signing for both us and the Arse.

Nainngolan loves Roma, I think he'll stay.
Sure, it's possible but for example Vidal loved Juve, had a tribute tattoo to that club and found his excuse to leave. Even Griezmann will most likely depart from Atletico as soon as their situation change.

Agreed, he's a very good player. Wand of a left foot, good set pieces, good crosser, intelligent. He's been linked with Arsenal. I've not seen him linked with United or anywhere else.

If paredes follows manolas to zenit, surely Roma will pay Nainggolan what he wants. They won't let him leave

Too optimistic. That would make us strong top4 candidate and maybe we could get top16 or top8 in CL. We would be third favourite in PL after Chelsea and City. Imo.

Be interesting to see the result of this if this were to go through. Bizarrely, I think the body that could end up most benefitting from it would be the Chinese league. I, and I'm assuming the majority on here, always assumed that players who went out there were passing up on having careers in competitive leagues in favour of huge and immediate financial gain. If, as would be the case with Paulinho, he can do this and end up returning to Europe for one of the best teams around, then it arguably does more to boost the image of the Chinese league. Not only can they now attract top players, those same players can actually improve their standing amongst top teams on the back of playing well there.
