Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

Not sure what this particular tweet says but this is what he was quoted saying:

Arturo Vidal after arriving today to Chile: "I told (Alexis) that this is his chance to be in a big team. If he wants to compare itself with the best he needs to go to the best team in the world." (marca.com)

 Please be true.

 there are UK newspapers on the blacklist (rightly) how does that make sense?

I'd say the system is working well as it is. No changes needed at this time. We should continue to add fake news accounts (Richard Marrow) and aggregator/fan boy accounts (Hesham Bilal-Hafiz) et al.

Tancredi is a known bullshitter though, it just seems odd that he was unblacklisted.

Why not just have a list of Twitter sources that are allowed? Someone was posting from some fan blogger earlier - surely a British newspaper that has been going for decades and has paid journalists and editorial staff (say, the Mirror) is more reliable than that, yet this is blacklisted whereas a nobody on Twitter is allowed?

Because the list of allowed people would be far longer than the blacklist. Its a great way of creating pointless work for little benefit than what we are doing now.

Ah right, I guess. Just some of the sources that are allowed seem more dodgy than the ones that are blacklisted, if you get my meaning. Like foreign versions of our British tabloids, one man band tweeters, or whatever. I guess it makes it less work for you and the other mods though.

Very good young player in Belgium - ended the season with 24 goals and 15 assists. But he's far too green to be moving to Arsenal already. Rumoured moves to Celtic, Everton or even Anderlecht should've been taken before moving straight up.
Moving to Arsenal instead of Everton is more sideways than straight up.

The big problem imo are fake, fanboy, and aggregator accounts - each are to varying degrees problematic in that they vary from the vaguely sourced to full on fake news. If we can minimize or eliminate each of these are go with more actual journos then this thread will be a great shape.

Just a matter of time before we announce Germain as our Monaco signing?

I think you're doing a pretty good job in what can be a minefield to be fair.

I've been glad to see Wenger stay so long because I've always thought the longer he stays the more of a hole he'll leave the club in when he goes. If Ozil and Sanchez go and no CL, Arsenal could be a hard sell for the top players.

Oh, it's the bbc reporting it. :(

200m or no deal. Random no name keepers who completed their 1st season in some average league are going for 50m. De Gea, arguably the best GK in the world has to at least merit a price tag close to 100m.

BBC Sport
Real Madrid are expected to renew their interest in David de Gea. But #MUFC are hoping to resist any advances http://bbc.in/2sbDM1u

They can give us Bale or Isco in exchange, we dont need the money, we need quality attacking players. This time, we're in a position of strength and City's precedent with Ederson puts us in a strong position to insist on something ridiculous.

BBC article says Madrid are making noises, De Gea hasnt asked to leave and we would probably tell madrid to feck off if they came asking for him. Nothing to see

Manchester United confident David De Gea is staying at Old Trafford this summer. He's happy at United & looking forward to Champions League

These half arsed De Gea to Real Madrid rumours are boring now. I get the feeling they expect him to kick up a fuss to join them because they aren't prepared to pay what we'd want for him.
