Generally, in the UK the top newspapers (Guardian, Times etc) plus some media companies - BBC, ITV etc follow rules that state they must wait to release important information on stories until the end of the day. Sometimes it's for stock market reasons. Other times there are legal stipulations in place. These are stories that will be in tomorrow's newspapers.
Press embargo. The press have a gentlemen's agreement to hold back certain information.

Most of the news programmes seem to do there paper reviews for the next day once 10 o'clock hits. So could be right.
The embargo holds for important stories that break during the day, while the journos are getting sources. They then release their stories at the same time. Happened a LOT during the Pogba saga. You'd have about 15 stories break around 10pm UK time. They all follow this rule, or used to before Twitter. Still, be interesting to see what happens come 5pm today. Might be nothing now I've cursed it. Haha.

The lads in Manchester are given briefings for their dailies, which of course come out when the next edition gets sent to print (at roughly 10pm!) but there is a clear distinction between the purpose of an embargo at a presser (specifically designed to maintain the relevance of the Sunday edition) and what seems to have been suggested further above.

I looked at the article and I believe it's quoting Delaney's article in the Independent. If so, then there's probably nothing to worry about.
But that isn't an embargo. An embargo is when you're forbidden from releasing content. If the Telegraph think that United have signed Griezmann with any real immediacy then they'll report on it right away. If it's just transfer fluff like "United want to spend £200m budget on player a, b and c" then of course it will just get released electronically as and when the paper gets printed. You're right that by doing this people will still (though not so much anymore) want to buy the newspaper in the morning.

Fosun International - Chinese investment company who owns Wolves.
Mendes sold a stake in Gestifute to a subsidiary of Fosun who then took over Wolves. Wolves signed Ivan Cavaleiro (Gestifute), Helder Costa (Gestifute) and Silvio Pereira (was on loan at Benfica for three years, sold to Wolves from Atletico - club connected to Mendes).
Nuno is also a Gestifute client and I'm sure is being paid a lot.
