Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

I am bit worried that Rojo wont be the same after returning from injury. Are there any other CBs on market beside Keane? What kind of injury VVD has.

These half arsed De Gea to Real Madrid rumours are boring now. I get the feeling they expect him to kick up a fuss to join them because they aren't prepared to pay what we'd want for him.

Think that is exactly the case. Are they really going to pay 70m for a keeper because I dont think we should be accepting any less and that is only if DeGea tells the club he wants to move.

Jose seems to be prioritising the majority of his transfer budget to midfielders and attackers. Unfortunately it doesn't look like we have an unlimited budget to spend like City do, otherwise I'd expect us to aim higher. Keane is a good defender though and when it comes to Jose, the last thing I'd worry about is defenders, he has a way with them. Wouldn't be surprised to see Keane turn into a solid defender under Jose.

They can give us Bale or Isco in exchange, we dont need the money, we need quality attacking players. This time, we're in a position of strength and City's precedent with Ederson puts us in a strong position to insist on something ridiculous.
Diario Gol (who are likely trash) are saying that Madrid won't pay more than 50m euros for De Gea and want him to agitate for a move to lower the fee. I think the fact that BBC, Sky Sports, Telegraph, MEN, Mirror and Daily Mail have all pretty much reported that United are confident that De Gea will stay shows that it's a clear briefing and that we're not willing to play Madrid's game.

5 years behind the times once again. They need double that to get anywhere close to the squad United, City and Chelsea are likely to start the season with. Same goes for Liverpool

Lol, Wenger's summer budget is equal to our Griezmann budget. Good luck Arsenal.

Mbappé > Arsenal transfer budget. They would have to sell first. Or claim the moral victory of "nearly" signing him.

Contrary to claims this evening, Monaco left-back Benjamin Mendy has not made a decision on his future of any kind. More on GFFN tomorrow.

If Arsenal sell Sanchez and Özil (both possible) then the budget should look a lot better. But yeah, not on level with both Manchester clubs.

They need to replace the two players they sold though to get back to where they started. So really their budget is just the same as it was before, unless they replace Sanchez and Ozil on the cheap.

We have a #9 shaped hole waiting for you kid. :D

Hopefully we might be able to convince him to come here, he's a beast of a FB and has some good experience while also being young enough to get even better.

It's a bit like us in the "no value" years, unfortunately top players cost top dollar and they seem to be valuing players a lot less just because they don't think they're worth it,( which they're not in reality) but times and costs have moved on, unfortunately Arsenal haven't.

Oh you know for damn sure that statement will be coming out in the future :wenger:

Herrera's really bad at this "use Barca's great and sacred name to angle for a bigger contract renewal" thing :D

He's just too nice a chap to do that, I'd say he's the most "united" player we have by a mile.

If im being honest Arsenal should throw thier transfer budget at him. If they sign him he will always play and be playing under a coach that will know how to utilise his talent.

he'd never join Arsenal. he will play wherever he goes.
