Who do you suggest we buy? Mourinho wants Perisic because he is a good player, he is a genuine wide man and he works very hard. Who said we need 'flair'? You? Posters on the Caf have better knowledge than Mourinho on what our team needs? A man who sets out a team twice a week and works with the squad every day? Are you guys serious?

Are you suggesting 'flair' is what will make us an effective team?

The bottom line is he and Mourinho obviously have different ideas on how the team should go forward. Get over it.

Are people not allowed to have opinions on players whose transfer is only a speculation? Why are you acting like managers, even Mourinho have not made massive errors in the transfer windows in the past?
If a public forum is too much for you, you can just sit by the United website and wait for transfer confirmation.

You need to relax man.

Oh please can we sign Sokratis. Just for the fallout of people having to say Papastathopoulos.
We managed to spell and pronounce Mkhitaryan after having tried every single name in Game of Thrones so... but "Rastapopoulos" is another level indeed :D.

Just to let you know I did read your post but people replied to you with pretty much what I would have said.

You are aware managers make mistakes when it comes to transfers from time to time, ya?

LOL at all the people who think Rooney should just walk away from his contract. If you're being honest, not one of you would do that if you were in his shoes. The cub offered him the contract, why should he leave money on the table? Hell, one could probably argue he was vastly underpaid for the first few years as a United player so he is just making up for that in a way. So, while he can't provide the quality he once did, the guy is a fecking legend for the club and I hope he gets every penny he can.

I would. That's exactly what I did on my previous job. Walked away from much better contract to work where I want, and I'm much poorer than Rooney. Not every human being is a greedy feck. In fact, if rumour about Zlatan is true we indeed offered him a contract but he turned it down because he didn't feel it right to get one when he's not able to contribute.
There's also something called "dignity" which some people seem to not know exists.

I don't have a problem with people having their own opinion on what players we need. Posting a  smiley because we might miss out on a player the manager clearly wants is just daft. Do people not think he will probably have a lesser player of the same type as a second choice?

You need to relax man.

I am relaxed. I don't understand this clamouring for us to fail in signing Perisic though. Why are we complaining about signing good players because they don't have 'flair'?

Who would you want us to sign?

I think with Vitolo signing and lets say they get Diego Costa they will have a run at the champions league next season. They are excellent over two legs and surely Real can't win every season? Not sure how much better Barca, Bayern, Real could get next season. I suspect they are a genuine contender again.

I get you but there is nothing pointing to Real and Barcelona getting weaker next season. Real is going to be awash with cash after selling Morata, James and maybe even Bale. As usual, they will bring in some big name players. They are in a good run right now and when those Spanish teams get into a good run, they tend to dominate for a while. Real may not win in Europe next year but they will certainly be contesting for the La Liga again. Meanwhile, Barcelona will be like wounded lions next season. Messi is far from finished and his supporting cast are not getting poorer too.

I think Europe will be tougher next season. People are writing off the EPL teams but I suspect they will be strong in Europe next season because Chelsea, United and Liverpool are back. Pep is also looking like he doesn't plan to merely make up the numbers next season considering his buys so far.

I'm basicaly saying that even though Atletico has a strong team, the odds of them winning next season has not really changed for the better. Personally, I do hope Simeone wins something. He's been 'nearly there' for some time now.

He will be excellent for us but that's mental. I was thinking it would be more around the £20 million mark. We don't have money issues anymore though so i doubt Koeman cares how much he spends as long as he gets his targets.

Why is that mental ? He'll be their gk for ten years at least and in 3 years when a gk costs 70m they can quote lunatic numbers for him. It's not a bargain but a fine signing

Madrid are wretched cnuts, they gonna do their best to bleed us dry for Morata, because they know they don't need to sell but we must buy a striker.

@balaks so you think we should take 40 Million for De Gea and run?

No you get as much as you can possibly get and run - aim for the stars and all that. Just because I think it's crazy to value a keeper so high doesnt mean I dont think they will get signed for massive fees. I just dont agree with it.

You take money and you want to buy replacement who will cost as much but inferior quality, it's always risky to sell settled GK, especially the one like De Gea.

As opposed to them being more sympathetic to our need for a centre forward?

I'm not so sure about that - you could get a very good keeper for less than the money you would get for De Gea and the difference to the team would not be that much, certainly not as much as an outfield player. This is just my opinion on keepers generally though - there are plenty of very good ones about and the difference between them is much less pronounced than the difference between two comparitive outfield players.
