Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

PSG have allowed for a transfer budget of €220m for this summer window, according to tomorrow's Le Parisien.

Better sign our targets fast with all these clubs out to spend big!

I thought Torino wanted twice as much?

I think the owner is just testing how much someone would actually pay for him. A club like Torino can't hold on to their best players. I would expect him to leave for that sort of money or hand in a transfer request.

So are we close to signing Spanish Welbeck? Can't see Real turning down 60m offer for him..

I just don't get why folk are so concerned about what we spend on a player.

I want the club to get the players that Jose has asked for. The club will only pay what it can afford and if the selling club ask for more than we can afford then we'll move on to other targets.

I spent years watching us call ourselves the biggest and richest club in the world and then penny pinch on transfers.

We finally start doing what Madrid and Barcelona have been doing for decades and people start acting like accountants.

Very true.

Belotti's release clause only applies to teams outside Italy, no?
Milan can test Torino with these bids

I dont really understand the concept of a release clause in this scenario. Torino can accept any bid they want, whether from an Italian team or foreign team. It would appear to me that the release clause is irrelevant. If they end up accepting a lower bid from AC (such as £55m), a foreign team just needs to match that, and most likely Torino would prefer him to move abroad to prevent domestic competition. Alternatively, they can insist that AC meet the valuation set out in the release clause, even if it technically doesnt apply to Italian teams.

Nobody else feel like the Naingollan links are just to get a better contract? Haven't we been here before?

Random links for a class player who has never shown any interest in leaving his club until suddenly he's negotiating a new contract and wants a big pay rise...

He just signed one last season, until 2020. Di Marzio said we're genuinely interested in him a while back too.

Great post, we are apparently the richest club in the world and at this moment we should be spending whatever it takes to get back to being #1 on the pitch again.

Lukaku taking over from Costa is a serious downgrade in my opinion.

100%. Nothing in those rumours.
