Transfer Tweets - Summer 2017 | Keep it on topic

@Ramshock

I've never seen anything like it

A public fecking apology ?? What the feck did they do to have to do that and promise they won't approach again

They have literally bought half the Southampton squad over the years you would think they knew what they were doing this time?

Did they try and avoid a transfer ban or something?

 I think tbh Klopp and his team got all giddy because Uncle FSG actually gave them proper money this summer and they didnt know how to handle it.

Missed that but apparently by some of their supporters he is shit now and it would be stupid move anyway

I forgot to mention the same twat on the radio was saying that he was wooed and personally visited or presented to by the major clubs including United but he was won over by the charismatic charms of Klopp. He literally said words to the effect of "once you are in front of Klopp you can't say no":lol:

Yeah, that part about him being in front of Klopp before any official bid/approach might give a clue how they manage to feck this one so bad.

People seem to miss the point in signing Morata - he is a Jose type CF. Players like Aubamayang and Lacazette aren't.

We have players who will get in behind Morata, to feed him. Yum yum yum.

Look at the bigger picture.
I'm not a massive follower of other leagues so I don't know his game intimately but from what I've looked at recently he seems to be quite a pacy, skilful player.

Doesn't really seem to fit the Drogba mould for example? Why do you think he fits the Mourinho template?

With that being said, I'm hoping Jose adapts his approach to incorporate a more attacking style this year so may be no bad thing.

Thank you for asking. As I have nothing against the kid, Madrids second striker and Juventus second striker does not have to be an elite striker. Becuase he was/is a player sitting on the bench. Let me ask you a question. Would you spend 90m on Benzima? If the answer is yes then I cant argue with that, but if the answer is NO, how are you willing to pay his substitute 90 million?

If we are goint to compare him to other strikers in the market like aubameyang, Cavani, Kane, Suarez, Lewandowski, No where close to them, If we compare him to second tier strikers like Lukaku, Benzema, Aguero, or even Jesus the last city signing for only 40m. He is not fast like Rashford, his best work is inside the box, otherwise he is almost useless outside the box as he very poor linkup and that's why Zidane put him on the bench cause he had difficulties in linking up the play with the midfield. He is a good poacher, but nothing special. When I say average, cause he is not first tier strikers, not second tier either. And in a club like Man Utd we deserve someone much more better, if want to compete with best teams in europe.

I do admit that the market has gone insane and left to me, I wouldn't pay all the rumoured transfer fees.

But to answer your question, it is easy to understand why a Morata could cost more than a Benzema. Morata is 5 years younger and so could still offer 10 years of services ideally. He also earns just about one third of what Benzema earns so in the long term, it may turn out to be a cheaper purchase.

Lukaku is being rumoured to cost about 100 million. Is he better than Benzema? No.

Just because he's not a beautiful bulldozer of a beast like Drogba doesn't mean he isn't a Mou-style striker.

Morata is big, has good hold-up play, and is versatile. He's as close to a prototype as to what most think we're looking for as anyone; along with Lukaku...

Jesus 'pool have no backbone, if you're going to slip the finger into someone's wife don't go and say sorry afterwords, pussies.

Little quiet around 10pm UK time today. I guess most journos are focused on the Liverpool VVD story. But hope for a few interesting rumours in the next 30 minutes.

Stating the obvious but if Mourinho did really talk to him we wouldn't keep bidding unless the player wants to join. How the thing with Milan broke up a short while after our interest was reported could be another clue that this is happening.

 'Beautiful bulldozer of a beast'

Fair enough, as I say I don't watch much La Liga. His Youtube clips and stuff I've read seem to indicate he's got plenty to offer so I'm happy enough with his signing; would still prefer Aubameyang though.

We should be after De Vrij if he's really only 30 mill. Great potential and already better than Lindelof at the moment.
lots at RAWK are calling him average and not happy about being linked with him at all.

Always happens around this time! 60m bid for Morata just announced.
