£78m for Morata is crazy money (and probably not true) but if the alternative's Belotti for £86m...

Though I agree with your first comment somewhat, your second comment I don't. Morata is an okay player, average in terms of where he'd rank amongst other striker in the world. The likes of Lingard and Jones are well below average.
Marca had him down as a 70M euro player last Summer when his track record indicated he couldn't hit a barn door. That and DDG getting embroiled, plus the fact Real can easily spend all Summer fecking around is why I've never had an interest in this chap.

Totally agree, the football world has lost it marbles regarding prices. Morata for 78 million is stupid. Even 52 million is crazy, I would rather take a chance on youngsters we have and shop around for young players at good prices and take a chance rather than paying silly money for ready made players who may not live up to reputation and price I.e. Falco and di Maria.
So essentially we will be spending over £70m on either Morata or Belotti by the looks of things. Seriously doubt either will even return 20 goals in the season. Morata would probably be a better option than Belotti because he is more well rounded. Belotti is literally just a poacher at the present time and he's only had one season where he's managed good numbers. I have major concerns about Morata's ability to actually finish chances despite his superior ability on the ball. Both will be a major downgrade on Zlatan which is not the direction we should be going.
That'd be fun next season seeing us get knocked out of the CL and finish outside top 4 again. But hey at least we can compete with Liverpool for the net spend trophy.

I don't think Lacazette is capable of playing in our system. He's not enough of a threat in the air and he can't hold up the ball well enough. I have no idea why we don't seem to be in for Aubameyang though

We do have scouts, and we also have a manager who knows how to build a winning team. They've identified Morata as a player who would improve us.

Yes because we're paying 60M for VVD, 45M for a 16 year old with 1 professional game and bid 130M for a 18 year old with half a season of first team football behind him.
I held that opinion originally and Auba would be my first choice, but with some of the beefy box-to-box midfielder links and what is available I'd rather a 4-3-3 with a mobile striker who is a good finisher and has good link-up play.
If we are doing the same lop-sided defensive leftback crap then yes we absolutely need a more typical Mourinho CF.
