I don't think anyone really knows what's going on with Perisic but, if there is any truth in this, we should not even consider overpaying by £10-15m for a winger in his late twenties who isn't even a world-beater. We should give them a firm offer, and not budge on it. For me, £30million maximum and I'd even find that to be a bit steep to honest.

Because all of Mourinho's movements in the market (since he has arrived) have looked at improving areas which he thought drastically needed improving and I believe (granted, I don'y know) this is the attitude he's coming into this market with. If the figurers are true concerning the number of players we'll sign, I'd be very surprised to see one of those being spent on a player who offers very little in terms of immediate or long term improvement on the squad. Could be wrong, but this is an area I feel fairly confident about re Mourinho. If he was available for say £15m, which he should be, then I'd be all for it, but he''s not.
There have been worse claims quoted on this site, more than happy for that to be the case
